The electrolytic solution comprises lithium tetrafluoroborate and a plasticizer, wherein the mass ratio of the lithium tetrafluoroborate to the plasticizer is in the range from 1:7 to 1:9, and the plasticizer is formed by mixing ethylene carbonate and dimethyl carbonate. The gel polymer electrolyte can be used to avoid the corrosion of an aluminum foil. The invention further provides a preparation method of the gel polymer electrolyte.
