An anisotropic conductive adhesive contains conductive particles dispersed in a resin composition, wherein the resin composition includes a radical polymerization resin (A), an organic peroxide (B), a thermoplastic elastomer (C) and a phosphoric ester (D). The resin composition can further contain an epoxy silane coupling agent (E) represented by formula (2) or (3). The resin composition is mixed with other components after the radical polymerization resin (A), the thermoplastic elastomer (C), the phosphoric ester (D) and the epoxy silane coupling agent (E) are reacted. It is also possible to preliminarily react only the phosphoric ester (D) and the epoxy silane coupling agent (E) and to react the product of the preliminary reaction with the radical polymerization resin (A) and the thermoplastic elastomer (C), and then to add other components. The anisotropic conductive adhesive of the present invention can be used for electrical joining of electronic or electric parts of electrical apparatus.

The present invention provides a catalyst for polyester production capable of producing a polyester with high catalytic activity and a process for producing a polyester using the catalyst. The catalyst for polyester production comprises a solid titanium compound which is obtained by dehydro-drying a hydrolyzate obtained by hydrolysis of a titanium halide and which has a molar ratio (OH / Ti) of a hydroxyl group (OH) to titanium (Ti) exceeding 0.09 and less than 4. The present invention also provides a method to obtain a polyester having a small increase of the acetaldehyde content during the molding. This method comprises bringing a polyester, which is obtained by the use of a titanium compound catalyst and in which the reaction has been completed, into contact with a phosphoric ester aqueous solution or the like having a concentration of not less than 10 ppm in terms of phosphorus atom. The present invention further provides a polyester having excellent transparency and tint and molded products of the polyester such as a blow molded article, a film, a sheet and a fiber. The polyester is obtained by polycondensing an aromatic dicarboxylic acid or an ester-forming derivative thereof and an aliphatic diol or an ester-forming derivative thereof in the presence of a catalyst for polyester production which comprises a polycondensation catalyst component comprising a solid titanium compound and a co-catalyst component comprising a magnesium compound. This polyester has a titanium content of 1 to 100 ppm, a magnesium content of 1 to 200 ppm and a weight ratio (Mg / Ti) of magnesium to titanium of not less than 0.01.

A flame-retardant resin composition comprises 10 to 300 parts by weight of a flame retardant (B) and 1 to 200 parts by weight of an inorganic filler (C) (a glass fiber and / or a glass flake), relative to 100 parts by weight of a base resin (A). The flame retardant (B) comprises a polyphenylene oxide-series resin and / or a polyphenylene sulfide-series resin (B1), a phosphoric ester (B2), and a nitrogen-containing cyclic compound (B3) (for example, a polyphosphate of an amino group-containing triazine compound). The inorganic filler (C) has been treated with a surface-treatment agent or sizing agent containing a novolak epoxy resin. Such a resin composition is useful for obtaining a shaped article which has been inhibited from dripping and to which flame retardancy is highly imparted.

In another embodiment, this invention provides a gelled liquid hydrocarbon treatment fluid: that comprises a liquid hydrocarbon and a gelling agent that comprises a polyvalent metal salt of a phosphoric acid ester; that has a concentration of less than about 250 mg / liter of trialkyl phosphate esters that have a molecular weight of less than about 350; and that has a diester-to-monoester content molar ratio of at least about 2:1.
