The invention is a fiber reinforced thermoplastic automotive bumper wherein the reduced fiber additions consist of a long, chopped glass mat with the addition of mineral fillers such as mica, talc or clay. The modified thermoplastic is used to produce I-section bumpers. The improved reinforced thermoplastic material has favorable flow characteristics which enable the material to substantially fill the deep ribs and mounting stay structures used in I-section bumpers during compression molding while improving the modulus or cross-face stiffness of the finished part. For the first time, improved flow characteristics during molding permit the material to flow evenly into small ribs, bosses and other features. The invention makes it possible to increase part integration, molding pencil braces, fascia supports, mounting holes and mounting stays. The front surface of the bumper may be covered with a conformal energy absorber made of plastic foarn. Moreover, the absorber serves to mount appearance fascia. The result is a cost-reduced, weight-reduced bumper with improved impact resistance.

According to the invention, the problems that microlite has low wear resistance and is difficult to process in the prior art are solved, and the defect of water ripples caused by the situations that fully-polished glaze absorbs dirt, bottom is easy to expose and the tile surface is uneven is also solved. The super-spar product produced with the method has the advantages that the microlite is transparent, bright and smooth like a mirror and does not absorb dirt completely; and the fully-polished glaze is light, thin and wear-resistant.

The invention discloses a preparation method of a talc filled PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) composite material. The method comprises the following steps in order: 1) conducting burdening with 50-99 wt% of PTFE, 1-50 wt% of talc powder, 0 wt%-10 wt% of filler I, and 0 wt%-20 wt% of filler II; 2) mixing the mixture obtained in step 1) uniformly, then carrying out cold pressing molding under a pressure of 25-40 MPa, and maintaining the pressure for 3-10 minutes; 3) putting the molded product obtained in step 2) into a high temperature sintering furnace, heating the product to a temperature of 360-380DEG C at a heating rate of 30-100DEG C / h, then preserving the heat for 0.5-2h; and 4) leaving the sintered product obtained in step 3) to natural cooling to room temperature, thus obtaining the talc filled PTFE composite material. A novel filtration media employing polymeric absorbents comprising a material selected from the group consisting of styrene, pentadiene, cyclopentadiene, butylene, ethylene, isoprene, butadiene, propylene and mixtures thereof; and a filtration enabler intimately mixed with the polymeric absorbent. Preferably, the filtration enabler comprises clay, ground glass, talc, mica, recycled rubber, sand, gravel, vermiculite, recycled plastic chips, an inert, non-absorbent material, or mixtures thereof. Preferably, the polymeric absorbent may be further compounded to incorporate about 10 to 50% recycled or waste plastic scrap, scrap polyolefins, inorganic fillers, or other inexpensive, relatively inert solids. Other compounding materials may include clay, talc, mica, ground glass, silica, and mixtures thereof. Upon contact with a hydrocarbon containing liquid, the liquid partially dissolves the polymeric absorbent forming a partial filtration barrier prior to the filtration media substantially absorbing the hydrocarbons, and allowing hydrocarbon-free liquid to flow through the filtration media. In situations of a leak or spill wherein an excess of hydrocarbons are present, the filtration media forms a plug to seal and prevent further discharge of the hydrocarbons. The filtration media may be placed inside a portable container for insertion into an existing drain such that hydrocarbon containing liquid is filtered through the device allowing hydrocarbon-free liquid to flow from the device. The filtration media has a thickness within the container adapted to substantially filter out hydrocarbons while capable of forming a plug in an excess of hydrocarbons. The invention provides a wear-resistant transparent glaze and a method for preparing a glazed tile by utilizing the same. According to the components of the wear-resistant transparent glaze, spodumene, frit, potash feldspar, calcinedtalc, barium carbonate and zinc oxide are adopted as a fluxing agent, and the Si / Al ratio is adopted by utilizing wollastonite and kaolin. Meanwhile, the wear-resistant performance of the glaze is improved by adopting white corundum and zirconium oxide as a wear-resistant agent. The weight percentage of zirconia relative to the total weight of the raw materials of the wear-resistant transparent glaze is smaller than or equal to 0.2%. The present invention provides powder compositions comprising from 20 to 90 phr of one or more than one silicone resin having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of at least 40° C., from 10 to 80 phr of one or more than one resin chosen from glycidyl functional acrylic resin, mixtures of aromatic epoxy resin or novolac resin with carboxyl functional acrylic resin carboxyl functional polyester resin or glycidyl functional acrylic resin, and one or more than one filler, such as wollastonite, barium sulfate, mica, talc, alumina, layered silicates like montmorillonite, and mixtures thereof. The one or more than one silicone resin may or may not be flaked and may or may not contain silanol groups. The compositions of the present invention provide single layer or multilayer powder coatings that are free of voids larger than 30 μm in diameter, and which may meet the UL Class H (180° C.) certification for electrical insulation applications. Further, the compositions may be used to provide powder coatings, films, moldings, electrical potting compounds and electrical encapsulation compounds.
