Inductive RF plasma source with external discharge bridge

An RF ICP source having a housing with a flanged cover. The interior of the housing serves for confining plasma generated by the plasma source. The cover has at least two openings which are connected by a hollow C-shaped bridge portion which is located outside the housing. The hollow C-shaped bridge portion is embraced by an annular ferrite core having a winding connected to an electric power supply source for generating a discharge current which flows through the bridge portion and through the interior of the housing. The discharge current is sufficient for inducing plasma in the interior of the housing which is supplied with a gaseous working medium. The power source operates on a relatively low frequency of 60 KHz or higher and has a power from several watt to several kilowatt. In order to provide a uniform plasma distribution and uniform plasma treatment, the cover may support a plurality of bridges. Individual control of the inductors on each bridge allows for plasma redistributing. The housing of the working chamber can be divided into two section for simultaneous treatment of two objects such as semiconductor substrates. A plate that divides the working chamber into two sections may have ferrite cores built into the plate around the bridges. In another embodiment, the flow of gaseous working medium is supplied via a tube connected to the bridge portion of the source.

High efficiency incandescent bulb replacement lamp

The invention discloses a high efficiency incandescent and Compact Fluorescent (CFL) bulb replacement LED lamp having a good color reproduction. The LED light bulb includes two groups of semiconductor light emitters and a luminescent material to emit four different spectrums of light. The two groups of semiconductor light emitters are enclosed around an interior wall of the light bulb housing, which has a plurality of fins at an exterior surface for effective heat dissipation. A high reflective member having a dome shape in the center is disposed under the two groups of semiconductor light emitters to redirect the emission and excitation lights from the two groups of semiconductor light emitters and recycle the backscattered light for multi-spectrum light mixing. The LED-light bulb further includes a single power line connecting to the two groups of semiconductor light emitters and a high efficiency electrical AC / DC conversion and control device. The light bulb has a diffuser dome for an output window and a conventional Edison-mount screw-type light bulb socket, a conventional fluorescent tube coupler arrangement or a conventional halogen MR-16 socket arrangement connecting to an AC power base. If a voltage is supplied to the AC / DC conversion and control device, a mixture light from the diffuser dome produces a warm white light with a color rendering index of at least 85 and a luminous efficacy of at least 80 lumens per watt.

Extreme ultraviolet light source

The present invention provides a reliable, high-repetition rate, production line compatible high energy photon source. A very hot plasma containing an active material is produced in vacuum chamber. The active material is an atomic element having an emission line within a desired extreme ultraviolet (EUV) range. A pulse power source comprising a charging capacitor and a magnetic compression circuit comprising a pulse transformer, provides electrical pulses having sufficient energy and electrical potential sufficient to produce the EUV light at an intermediate focus at rates in excess of 5 Watts. In preferred embodiments designed by Applicants in-band, EUV light energy at the intermediate focus is 45 Watts extendable to 105.8 Watts.

High Efficiency Concentrating Photovoltaic Module Method and Apparatus

A Concentrating Photovoltaics (CPV) module includes a metal frame, a plurality of Fresnel lenses, a secondary reflective or refractive concentrator, multi-junction solar cells with up to 40% efficiency and a novel heat spreading material. The Fresnel lenses and the secondary concentrator focus the sun over 500 times to maximize the amount of photons collected by the solar cells and converted to electricity. A newly designed soft board material provides coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) matched carrier for the solar cells and an efficient electrical connectivity method. The carrier board is attached to a specially formulated heat spreader made of graphite. At 40% the weight of aluminum and 18% the weight of copper, this specially formulated material offers thermal heat conductivity that is superior to copper. The combination of the above creates CPV modules with the highest efficiency and lowest cost per Watt.

A Co10Fe70B20 / NCC / Co10Fe70B20, Co10Fe70B20 / NCC / Co10Fe70B20 / NCC, or Co10Fe70B20 / NCC / Co10Fe70B20 / NCC / Co10Fe70B20 free layer configuration where NCC is a nanocurrent channel layer made of Fe(20%)-SiO2 is used to minimize Jc0 while enabling higher thermal stability, write voltage, read voltage, Ho, and Hc values that satisfy 64 Mb design requirements. The NCC layer is about 10 Angstroms thick to match the minimum Fe(Si) grain diameter size. The MTJ is annealed with a temperature of about 330° C. to maintain a high magnetoresistive ratio while maximizing Hk⊥(interfacial) for the free layer thereby reducing Heff and lowering the switching current. The Co10Fe70B20 layers are sputter deposited with a low pressure process with a power of about 15 Watts and an Ar flow rate of 40 standard cubic centimeters per minute to lower Heff for the free layer.

Highly efficient solar fans used in portable and built in configurations. A ventilation fan can be used for exhausting air out from underneath roofs, and / or for being portable in use and application. The fan can include optimized airflow blades having a twisted configuration that can move at a rotational speed operation of up to approximately 500 rpm. The approximately 15 inch diameter twisted blades can be premolded on a hub that together form a single molded unit of plastic. They can also be fabricated using metal. The unit can be mounted in an exhaust outlet having a conical diffuser on or adjacent to a roof. Another embodiment allows for portable solar powered fans used anywhere there is a need for ventilation and moving of air. The blades can rotate by a solar powered motor, where the blades and motor can generate up to approximately 1040 cfm while using no more than approximately 16 Watts. Portable fans can be powered by solar panels. One embodiment has solar panels mounted to a handtruck. Another embodiment has solar panels in a carrying case with a handle having leg(s) which can bend downward to different angled positions. The solar panel carrying case and the fan can each have single handles that allows for the portable fan assembly to carried and transported by both hands of a single user.
