The invention provides a method for preparing a
microlens array with adjustable light
transmittance. The
microlens array is formed by arranging
polymer scattering
liquid crystal microspheres, wherein the
polymer is
polystyrene (PS),
polycarbonate (PC), polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), dimethyl
silicone polymer (PDMS), NOA65 or NOA81; the
liquid crystal is E7, E8, 5CB, 6CB, 7CB or a mixed
liquid crystal of the liquid crystals and a light responding low molecule liquid
crystal with azobenzol functional group, and the light responding low molecule liquid
crystal can be BMAB, BHAB or BHMB. The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing the polymer or the
prepolymer of the polymer and liquid
crystal to form a homogeneous solution, leading a
polymer solution containing liquid crystal and a
polyvinyl alcohol solution to a microflow control device so as to obtain the
polymer solution drops containing liquid crystal, solidifying drops to obtain the polymer scattering liquid crystal microspheres, and forming the
microlens array with an adjustable light
transmittance by the microspheres.
