The two-component systems attain the requisite grip strength for mounting the add-on parts on the body as well as the requisite strength and dimensional stability for the production process up to and with the CIP passage, within the predetermined cycle time, on the basis of cross-linking of the sealant composition twice. In one embodiment, the surface of the two-component system is pre-cross-linked by a UV-induced reaction and by the cross-linking of the two-component system to the extent of portability. In addition, two-component systems are described which cross-link intentionally only partially up to a consistency that permits a rugged course of the process through cleaning baths and which harden completely only by means of a further hardening process, for instance in the CIP forced circulation oven.

The present invention relates to a material, method, and application for reinforcement of structural members, especially joints such as a hem flange joint of an automobile. The method and material of the present invention comprises of combining, in parts by weight: less than about twenty percent (<20%) ethylene copolymer, less than about forty percent (<40%) epoxy, less than about thirty percent (<45%) epoxy-based resin, less than about two percent (<2%) blowing agent and from about one percent (1%) to about five percent (5%) curing agent (and optionally add any of the following components: less than about two percent (<2%) curing agent accelerator, from about twenty-five percent (25%) to fifty-five percent (55%) filler, and less than about one percent (<1%) of coloring agent). The application of the present invention comprises of: (1) providing a structural member having two substrates forming a space to be joined; (2) placing the material of the present invention in proximity of the space to be joined; (3) exposing the material to a heat source causing it to flow, fill, and cure in the defined area or space to be joined.

The location of the rivet nuts or rivet nuts supporting surface is measured and the rivet nuts are milled or machined to correspond to reference body coordinates. The rivet nuts function as a integral shim pack and obviate the need for shims between the space frame and body panels. The rivet nuts may be milled or formed to predetermined thicknesses before or after assembly to the frame.

The anchoring system includes track members which are provided at multiple points on each side wall. Beams extend between the respective track members by attachments and are attached thereto. The beams can be moved up and down along the tracks and support cargo or a removable deck which supports the cargo. The track members can also be removed from the joints without dismantling the entire joint. Splicing members are attached at the joints on the outside of the trailer body.
