The invention relates to a method for preparing titanium dioxide films for a dye-sensitized solar battery, comprising the following steps: (a) titanium dioxide sol with 1-10 wt percent of titanium dioxide, 5-10nm of grain size and 10-100mg / mL of concentration and titanium dioxide powder with 5-15 wt percent of titanium dioxide and 20-40nm of grain size are uniformly ground, 80-90 wt percent of pore-forming agent is added, and the obtained 100wt percent of mixture are grounded for 0.5-2 hours; (b) titanium dioxide slurry is coated on conductive glass and is dried for 5-15 minutes at 100-130 DEG C; and (c) the conductive glass coated with the titanium dioxide slurry is sintered for 0.5-2 hours at 450-500 DEG C; by adopting the method in the invention, the process is simple, the operation is easy, the preparation period is short, thereby being beneficial to industrialization; in addition, the photoelectricity conversion efficiency of the dye-sensitized solar battery assembled by the titanium dioxide films is high by adopting the method.

Preparation of fluorine modified, low haze, titanium dioxide films

The present invention concerns the deposition of fluorine modified, titanium dioxide films (TiO2) onto hot glass by atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition (APCVD) using TiCl4 vapor. The invention is also suitable for depositing other metallic oxide films from their metallic halides such as SnCl4, GeCl4, and VCl4. The present invention provides a process that deposits a novel, fluorine modified, titanium dioxide film (TiO2) onto hot glass by atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition using TiCl4 vapor. The process uses injection of TiCl4 into a hot, nonoxygen containing carrier gas and blends the carrier gas and TiCl4 vapor with an oxygen containing gas stream containing a haze reducing quantity of a fluorine containing compound before contacting a surface of hot glass with the blended mixture. The process is capable of depositing a fluorine modified, TiO2 film at deposition rates exceeding 900 Å per second. The crystalline phase of the fluorine modified film is essentially anatase. The film has a haze of less then 1% and a refractive index of greater than or equal to about 2.48. Also provided is an apparatus for practicing the process and a novel coated glass.

Method for preparing one-dimensional photonic crystal film on fabric surface to realize structural color

The invention relates to a method for preparing a one-dimensional photonic crystal film on the fabric surface to realize a structural color. The method comprises preparation of titanium sol and silica sol and alternate forming of a titanium dioxide film layer and a silicon dioxide film layer on the fabric surface. The structural color can be formed on the fabric surface by adopting the method. The results show that variation of the surface color of the fabric treated by the method can be observed from different angles and the structural color effect is generated. The synthetic method and required production equipment are simple, are easy to realize industrial production and have great reference significance in reducing the environmental pollution of the dyeing industry. The prepared fabric dispenses with any dye to realize the structural color and has excellent optical property and good application prospect.

The present invention provides a method for preparing mesoporous TiO2 thin films with high antibacterial and photocatalytic activities. The method involves coating onto a substrate a TiO2 sol-gel prepared from hydrolysis and condensation of titanium alkoxide in the presence of a stabilizer and thermally treating the substrate at a temperature ranging from 400° C. to 900° C. The TiO2 thin films fabricated according to the method of the present invention show two times higher antibacterial and photocatalytic activities than the conventional TiO2 thin films.

Titania is a semiconductor and photocatalyst that is also chemically inert. With its bandgap of 3.0, to activate the photocatalytic property of titania requires light of about 390 nm wavelength, which is in the ultra-violet (UV), where sunlight is very low in intensity. A method and devices are disclosed wherein stress is induced and managed in a thin film of titania in order to shift and lower the bandgap energy into the longer wavelengths that are more abundant in sunlight. Applications of this stress-induced bandgap-shifted titania photocatalytic surface include photoelectrolysis for production of hydrogen gas from water, photovoltaics for production of electricity, and photocatalysis for detoxification and disinfection.

The invention discloses a sol-gel method for preparing micro / nano titanium dioxide and lyophobic film thereof on metal surfaces, which includes the following steps of (a) pretreating metal substrates; (b) preparing micro / nano TiO2 films on surfaces of the metal substrates which are pretreated; and (c) preparing (heptadecafluoro-1,1,2,2-tetradecyl) triisopropoxysilane-silicon dioxide lyophobic films on the micro / nano TiO2 films on the surfaces of the metal substrates. The sol-gel method has the advantages of high operability, simplicity in processing and equipment and easiness in industrialization. Besides, the titanium dioxide films are used as transitional layers so that corrosion of acid sol to the metal substrates during the process of directly coating the silane lyophobic films is avoided, wettability to silane sol is enhanced, and uniform and compact lyophobic films are prepared finally. Meanwhile, defects such as cracking and the like can be reduced by means of multiple coating processes, corrosion resistance performance of the films is improved, surface free energy of the films is decreased by lyophobic treatment, and dirt settled on the films is reduced.

The invention discloses a titanium dioxide film and a preparation method thereof. The titanium dioxide film comprises the following compositions of titanium dioxide, a dispersant, an emulsifier, a pore-making agent, water and pure nitric acid; the titanium dioxide, the dispersant, the pore-making agent, part of the water and the nitric acid are mixed and slowly ground; the mixture is added with the residual water slowly, ground for 40 to 60 minutes, added with the emulsifier and continuously ground to produce a titanium dioxide sizing agent; and a film is prepared on conductive glass by a scraping knife method and dried for 12 to 48 hours at room temperature; the dried film is put into a muffle furnace for sintering, thereby producing the titanium dioxide film. The titanium dioxide film provided by the invention has the advantages of good electricity conducting performance, good film forming effect, suitable thickness, simple preparation method, low cost and uneasy cracking and can be used for a dye-sensitized solar cell.
