The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing composite polymer electrolyte membranes coated with inorganic thin films for fuel cells using a plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) method or a reactive sputtering method, so as to reduce the crossover of methanol through polymer electrolyte membranes for fuel cells and enhance the performance of the fuel cells. The manufacturing method of composite polymer electrolyte membranes coated with inorganic thin films for fuel cells according to the present invention is characterized to obtain composite membranes by coating the surface of commercial composite polymer electrolyte membranes for fuel cells with inorganic thin films using a PECVD method or a reactive sputtering method. The inorganic materials to form the inorganic thin films are chosen one or more from the group comprising silicon oxide (SiO2), titanium oxide (TiO2), zirconium oxide (ZrO2), zirconium phosphate (Zr(HPO4)2), zeolite, silicalite, and aluminum oxide (Al2O3). The present invention, by coating the polymer electrolyte membranes for fuel cells with inorganic thin films via a PECVD method or a reactive sputtering method, reduces the methanol crossover sizably without seriously reducing the ionic conductivity of polymer electrolyte membranes, thereby, when applied to fuel cells, realizes a high performance of fuel cells.

A system and device for filtering fluids using graphene oxide (GO) is provided. GO-based filters may be used for the efficient removal of microorganisms from organic and aqueous liquids and may be used to prevent fuel biodeterioration. Functionalization of graphene oxide with reactive oxygen functional groups provides physical properties to the GO including high solubility in polar solvents, good colloidal properties, low production costs, low toxicity, and a large surface area which can be decorated with antimicrobial agents including nanosilver. GO may be used as a filtration media for efficient removal of bacteria and to remove small amounts of water from hydrocarbon fuels. The GO filter media may be made of a plurality of GO particles, a structural core coated with GO, a non-porous structural membrane coated with GO, or a filtering membrane coated with GO. A method for sampling impurities found in an environmental sample is also provided.

According to the chitosan membrane, the thickness is 2.5-3.5 mu m, the breaking strength is larger than or equal to 170MPa, the elongation at break is larger than 3.6%, and the initial modulus is larger than 3.3 GPa. The chitosan membrane can be used as anticoagulant materials, bone repairing materials, wound dressing materials, and the like.

The preparation method is characterized in that anisotropic Sm2Fe17Nx alloy powder and a little low-melting-point metal / alloy powder are mixed, or a layer of low-melting-point metal / alloy membrane coats the surface of the anisotropic Sm2Fe17Nx alloy powder; then, orientation profiling is preformed in a magnetic field; hot pressing sintering is performed at 480 to 520 DEG C for compaction; the high-performance anisotropic Sm-Fe-N permanent magnet is obtained. The low-melting-point metal / alloy ingredient consists of R-M, R-N, R-(M,N) or N-N; the melting point range is 300 to 450 DEG C; R is one or more than one from La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Gd, Tb, Dy and Ho; M is one or more than one of Fe, Co and Ni; N is one or more than one from Cu, Al, Ga, Zn, Sn and Ag. The preparation method has the advantages that the high-density anisotropic Sm2Fe17Nx permanent magnet can be prepared, so that high permanent-magnet performance can be obtained.
