The invention relates to a method for preparing needle coke by coal-tar asphalt, using the coal-tar asphalt with abundant resource as raw material. The apparatuses including a beaker, an ultrasonic cleaner, a microwave oven, a high temperature furnace, a reaction kettle, a glass test tube, an enameled copper wire, a direct current power supply, a nitrogen bottle, a vacuum pump, an electric cabinetand the like are used to prepare black crystal needle coke by the working procedures of heating and fusion, ultrasonic activation, microwave catalysis, magnetic field induction, high temperature calcinations and the like; and then needle coke is generated by fusing at 150 DEG C, ultrasonically activating at 20 DEG C, catalyzing by microwave at 200 DEG C, inducing by a magnetic field at 420 DEG C,and calcinating at 940 DEG C. The chemical and physical properties of the needle coke are stable; the intensity, the toughness and the high temperature resistance of the needle coke can be increasedby 26%; and the product yield is up to 78%. The needle coke can be matched with a plenty of chemical substances to make into a plenty of industrial products such as high temperature-resistant electrode and the like. The preparation method has short technological processes, and is safe, stable and reliable. The method is an ideal method for preparing carbon material crystal needle coke by coal-tarasphalt.
