The present invention discloses new application of a benzazole
chloride, namely, 2-[2-[4-[(2-cyanoethyl)-methyl-amino]-phenyl]-vinyl]-1,3,3-trimethyl-3H-benzazole
chloride into
spectrophotometry-basedplatinum measurement. When the compound, used as an organic complexing agent, is applied to
spectrophotometry-based
platinum measurement, the process mainly includes the following steps of: solutionpreparation;
standard curve drawing; and sample measurement. The sample determination step further includes the steps of sample
dissolution, complexation, liquid-liquid extraction, and
absorbance measurement. The measuring method provided by the invention can avoid a near-
ultraviolet saturated absorption zone and a
platinum ion absorption band, has the advantages of rapid color development, stablecomplexation products, high anti-interference performance, good selectivity to
platinum, high safety, innocuity, and environmental friendliness, and can be used for separation, enrichment and detection of
environmental water samples, model water samples and glass trace platinum.
