An aqueous binder composition is provided that includes a carbohydrate and a crosslinking agent. In exemplary embodiments, the carbohydrate-based binder composition may also include a catalyst, a coupling agent, a process aid, a crosslinking density enhancer, an extender, a moisture resistant agent, a dedusting oil, a colorant, a corrosion inhibitor, a surfactant, a pH adjuster, and combinations thereof. The carbohydrate may be natural in origin and derived from renewable resources. Additionally, the carbohydrate polymer may have a dextrose equivalent (DE) number from 2 to 20. In at least one exemplary embodiment, the carbohydrate is a water-soluble polysaccharide such as dextrin or maltodextrin and the crosslinking agent is citric acid. Advantageously, the carbohydrates have a low viscosity and cure at moderate temperatures. The environmentally friendly, formaldehyde-free binder may be used in the formation of insulation materials and non-woven chopped strand mats. A method of making fibrous insulation products is also provided.

Graphite-phase carbon nitride (g-C3N4) material and preparation method and application thereof

The invention relates to a method for preparing a graphite-phase carbon nitride (g-C3N4) material. The method includes the steps that a carbon nitride precursor and ammonium salt are evenly mixed, and then calcination is conducted so that the porous g-C3N4 material can be obtained. The ammonium salt is any one of ammonium base salts capable of generating ammonia gas through thermal decomposition or is the combination of at least two of the ammonium base salts. In the preparation process of the g-C3N4 material, the ammonium salt is added into the carbon nitride precursor to be mixed. In the high-temperature calcining process, the ammonium salt is subjected to pyrogenic decomposition to generate gas, a pore-forming effect on the g-C3N4 material is achieved, and the cellular porous g-C3N4 material is obtained. In the preparation process of the g-C3N4 material, template agents are not used, and thus the method is simple, efficient and environmentally friendly; the prepared g-C3N4 material is high in photocatalytic activity and can be used in the pollution control processes such as exhaust gas and wastewater treatment.

A high efficiency, environmentally friendly system comprising a plurality of photovoltaic solar collecting panels (PV panels) is disclosed. The system comprises an outer frame to which a plurality of inner frames are mounted to which the plurality of PV panels are attached. To minimize shadowing by the outer frame upon one or more PV panels, at least one PV panel may extend beyond an endpoint of the main frame. The system also comprises an outer frame rotation actuator that rotates the outer frame and an inner frame rotation actuator that rotates the inner frames and the plurality of PV panels. The solar tracking array frames disclosed herein help to improve the quality of the environment by conserving a variety of energy resources (e.g., fossil fuels, hydroelectric energy, etc.) The solar tracking array frames disclosed herein also help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as solar tracking array frames do not produce carbon dioxide byproducts.

Polymeric materials and products, including sheet flooring materials prepared from the polymeric materials, and processes for preparing the polymeric materials, are disclosed. The polymeric materials include a polylactic acid-based polymer in combination with plasticizer and a compatibilizer, and optionally include a filler. The polymeric material can include between about 30 to about 50 percent by weight polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene glycol, polyglycolide, ethylene vinyl acetate, polycarbonate, polycaprolactone, polyhydroxyalkanoates, or polyolefins modified with polar groups, for example, ionomers. The plasticizer is typically an epoxidized vegetable oil or esterified and epoxidized vegetable oil and is typically present in an amount of between about 10 and about 50% by weight. In some embodiments, the compatibilizer is a polyolefin modified with one or more polar functional groups, and is typically present in an amount of between about 5 and about 10% by weight. The material can be used in decorative surface coverings, such as a floor coverings, particularly when it is in the form of a polymeric sheet. The polymeric material can be present in at least one layer of a floor covering, which floor covering can also include one or more additional layers such as wear layers, foamed or foamable layers, top coat layers and design layers. The component A comprises the components of, by mass, 0.1-5wt% of graphene, 0-35wt% of zinc powder, 30-70wt% of a filling material, 10-20wt% of epoxy resin with a solid content of 54%, and 10-20wt% of a solvent, wherein a total mass percentage of graphene, zinc powder, and the filling material is 60-80wt%, and a total mass content of the component A is 100wt%. According to the invention, graphene is added into the anticorrosion paint, such that paint film thickness is greatly reduced. Through the selection of the components, the anticorrosion effect is improved, and zinc powder content is greatly reduced. Therefore, a zinc-rich paint anticorrosion manner with the cost of sacrifice of zinc powder is overcome, and zinc oxide mist produced during welding is greatly reduced. The suggested installations have the following advantages: 1. Huge power production capacity-up to 5000-10000 times more than conventional ground-based rotor designs. 2. The rotor operates at high altitude of 1-14 kilometers, where wind has high speed and high stability (permanent flows). 3. The installation is much less expensive compared to conventional currently-employed windmills, partly because no tower is necessary to fix the rotor in space. 4. Wind energy is free -environmentally friendly.
