Drug eluting coating compositions are composed of at least one therapeutic agent dispersed in modified, biologically active binders. The therapeutic agents included in the coating composition are paclitaxel, sirolimus, tacrolimus, everolimus, actinomycin-D, dexamethasone, mycophenolic acid, cyclosporins, estradiol, and derivatives and analogs thereof.
