Battery state-of-charge estimation method without current sensor

The invention belongs to the field of lithium batteries and discloses a battery state-of-charge estimation method without a current sensor. Through off-line testing, the relation between an open-circuit voltage and the state of charge of the battery is established; through pulse current testing under various conditions, the relation of a model parameter changing along with the state of charge andthe current is established by using a table look-up method, and final estimation of the state of charge of the battery is completed by fusing an ampere-hour integral method and an open-circuit voltagemethod. The method in the invention can be applied to estimation of the state of charge of a portable device; according to the method, a voltage sensor and a low-complexity algorithm are directly used to complete the estimation of the state of charge of the battery, and a current sensor is not used, such that the size, the cost and the power consumption of the portable device are reduced fundamentally, and the product can be more suitable for requirements of markets and users.
