It is desirable to send documents to a user in such a way as to minimize the bandwidth and other computer resources required. To this end, a document may be categorized as (1) delta information (information that changes rapidly), (2) sub-template information (information that changes less frequently) and (3) template information, which changes very seldom. The delivery logic may also provide the encrypted frame to the L2VPN, where the providing includes selectively sending the encrypted frame as one of, a point to point packet, and a multipoint packet.

The regions of the page are displayed within a presentation program executing on a client. A server transfers the page to the client over a network. The server detects state changes and queues information on the state changes. The server further generates an update package including content indicating the state changes and sends the update package to the client. The presentation program in the client renders the information on the state changes to the regions of the page including the dynamic content modified by the content indicating the state changes.

In an Internet based personalized radio, where a user has a pre-selected list of songs to be played in a particular order, the invention provides an apparatus and method allowing the user to skip one or more songs without having an unintended delay between skips. This is accomplished by pre-buffering the first ten seconds of each of the next several songs on the list so that, should the user choose to skip to any of the next several songs, the pre-buffered ten seconds of the target song is already available to be played. The apparatus starts to play the pre-buffered port of the target song and starts to download the rest of it at the same time. A virtual smartcard is a set of computer-implemented processes, associated with an individual, which simulate the behavior of a physical smartcard or other authentication token containing a hardware security module. The invention discloses a method for forwarding data messages. The method includes the steps: matching the data messages with a default flow table entry when not searching a flow table entry matched with the data messages or searching a false table entry matched with the data messages by a switch; transmitting the data messages to a network controller according to the default flow table entry to generate a false table entry; and forwarding the data messages according to routing information transmitted by the controller. The invention further discloses a device for forwarding the data messages. The switch can be prevented from repeatedly transmitting a large number of data messages without matched flow table entry to the controller in a short time, so that bandwidth in an Open Flow network and processing resources in the controller are saved.

Rendering resources associated with a project are stored in a project resource pool at a rendering service site, and for each rendering request received from a client site the project resource pool is compared to current rendering resources at the client site. A given rendering resource is uploaded from the client site to the rendering service only if the project resource pool does not contain the current version, thereby conserving bandwidth. In one embodiment, redundant generation of raw rendering resource files is avoided by only generating those raw rendering resource files not mated with generated rendering resource files. Reducing redundant generation of raw resources is also described, as well as statistically reducing the number of raw resource files required to be uploaded to the rendering service for multi-frame sessions.
