The invention relates to a room-temperature high-
plasticity magnesium-stannum-
yttrium-
zirconium alloy and a preparation method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of
magnesium alloys. The
magnesium alloy consists of the following components of, by
mass percentage, 0.2-0.4% of Sn, 0.4-0.9% of Y, 0.4-0.6% of Zr, less than or equal to 0.15% of unavoidable impurities, and the balance Mg. The elements of Sn, Y and Zr are added into the
magnesium alloy, and the contents of the three elements are controlled simultaneously, so that it is guaranteed that the
magnesium alloy finally prepared hasthe high
plasticity, the stretching rate is as high as 40%, and it is guaranteed that the
magnesium alloy has the moderate yield strength and tensile strength. In the magnesium
alloy preparation process, only a small quantity of rare-earth elements are required to be added, so that the
plasticity of the magnesium alloy can be remarkably changed; the preparation method of the magnesium alloy is simple, traditional extruding is only required to be carried out at one time, and a complicated
processing technology is not required; a
smelting furnace and an extruding
machine which are used serve asconvectional general equipment, and the transportability is high; and the magnesium alloy is convenient to achieve in industry.
