The aluminum-doped modified lithium cobalt oxide composite film electrode is prepared by simultaneously sputtering a lithium cobalt oxide target and an aluminum target through a multi-target co-sputtering technique, by adjusting sputtering parameters and target compositions of the lithium cobalt oxide target and the aluminum target, the composition and structure of the composite film are regulated, and thus the high-performance lithium cobalt oxide composite film electrode is prepared. Thelithium cobalt oxide composite film electrode and the preparation method thereof have the beneficial effects that the preparation process is simple and easy to control, metal aluminum forms a conductive network in a film, thus, the conductivity of the electrode is significantly improved, part of aluminum enters lithium cobalt oxide lattices during the co-sputtering process, a LiAlyCo1-yO2 solid solution is formed, on the one hand, transportation of lithium ions can be promoted through the solid solution, and on the other hand, the electrode cycle stability is improved through the solid solution.
