The sweetening agent is prepared from the following raw materials by weight: 13.5 to 16% thaumatin, 20.5 to 21.5% of acesulfame potassium, 3.7 to 5.6% to beta-cyclodextrin, 19 to 21.4% of sugar of Vitis piasezkii, 5.4 to 6.3% of aspartyl phenylalanine methyl ester, 1.6 to 2.8% of liquirtigenin, 6.7 to 9.2% of stevioside, 15.5 to 17.8% of maltitol and 6.3 to 7.5% of xylitol. The addition amount of the sweetening agent is 0.015 to 0.045% of the total weight of the food. The sweetening agent provided by the invention can maintain the sweetness of food for a long time, is beneficial for the taste of food, has sweet and pure taste similar to that of cane sugar and is incomparable with any commercially available sweetening agents; basic sweetness of the sweetening agent provided by the invention is 80 to 90 times of the sweetness of cane sugar, so the addition amount of the sweetening agent is low; and thus, on the premise that the taste of cane sugar is achieved, production cost for food can be reduced.
