The method includes adding the cereal alcohol-soluble proteins into the ethanol aqueous solution and stirring and dissolving the cereal alcohol-soluble proteins in the ethanol aqueous solution to obtain mixed liquid; adding the oleic acid into the mixed liquid and stirring the oleic acid and the mixed liquid until uniform and transparent solution is obtained; adding the chitosan into the uniformly mixed solution, stirring the chitosan and the solution under heat-insulation conditions at the temperature of 60-70 DEG C for 40-90 min to obtain other solution and then cooling the other solution at the normal temperature under the normal pressure until the temperature of the other solution reaches the room temperature so as to obtain suture forming stock solution; filling suture forming devices with the suture forming stock solution, squeezing the suture forming stock solution into coagulating bath and coagulating and simultaneously stretching the suture forming stock solution to obtain sutures; coating the glycerin on the surfaces of the sutures, drying the sutures at the room temperature and sterilizing the sutures to obtain the antibacterial absorbable surgical suture. The antibacterial absorbable surgical suture and the method have the advantages that the antibacterial absorbable surgical suture is good in biocompatibility and degradability and free of toxic and side effects and is antibacterial, and inflammation and wound infection can be prevented.
