adhesive and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: firstly, adding water into a reaction kettle, adding kaolin and
polyvinyl alcohol in a stirring state, then adding a dispersing agent, continuing to stir, and successively carrying out heating and heat preservation to obtain a
mixed solution; adding
hydrochloric acid to adjust the pH value of the
mixed solution, adding
formaldehyde for a reaction, observing the reaction condition until a glue separation phenomenon occurs, immediately adding
ammonia water to adjust the pH value, adding
corn starch which is stirred and dissolved in advance, keeping the temperature, and introducing cooling water for cooling to obtain polyvinyl formal glue; and dropwise adding a
boric acid-
borax aqueous solution which is dissolved in advance into the reaction kettle, adding water to adjust a
solid content after dropwise adding is finished, continuing to perform cooling, adding diluted
hydrochloric acid to adjust the pH value, finally adding a defoaming agent and an
antiseptic bactericide, and carrying out cooling to obtain the novel high-speed high-strength paper tube
adhesive. The paper tube
adhesive prepared by the method can greatly improve the production efficiency of a tube coiling
machine, enhances product quality, reduces the phenomenon of tube embracing during paper tube production and completely removes residual
formaldehyde in an adhesive solution.
