The invention discloses a high-carbon low-alloy wear-resistant ball steel which comprises the chemical components by weight: 0.95-1.05% of C, 0.15-0.35% of Si, 1.00-1.20% of Mn, 0.45-0.65% of Cr, 0.020-0.045% of AL, less than or equal to 0.25% of Ni, less than or equal to 0.25% of Mo, less than or equal to 0.025% of S, less than or equal to 0.025% of P, less than or equal to 0.025% of Cu, and the balance of Fe. The production process comprises the steps of conducting electric furnace smelting, LF refining, VD refining, continuous casting and continuous rolling, adopting hot charging and hot conveying process, and rolling into round steel by a continuous rolling unit; and forging or rolling the round steel into steel balls. The alloy wear-resistant ball steel is low in cost, uniform in steel, high in cleanness, and good in wear resistance and impact resistance properties; and the production process is simple, can ensure the steel quality, improve the rolling rate and production efficiency, and is low in production cost.
