A method and Apparatus for solar energy storage system uses gas for thermal transport for central tower solar thermal electric power plant to provide high quality, low cost, and continuously electric power generation. The storage contains a number of storage modules that each module can store energy for a given period of time. The thermal energy from central tower charges the modules one by one during the sunny time, while the thermal electric power plant discharge the modules one by one as long as it works. A control and a connection valve system control and connect the charge and discharge modules with the central tower and the power plant according to pre-arranged sequences. Fans at the cool side of the storage system push the circulation gas into the central tower or the thermal storage modules. In the discharge system, the hot gas from storage system is send to the heat exchange system, and to generate steam and to super heat steam for the power plant. In the charge system, the cold gas is pushed into the central receiver thermal exchange unit and to be heated, and the hot gas is then circulated back to storage system to charge up the storage system.

The microcontroller monitors the solar cell panel output voltage signal in real time. When the surface of the solar cell panelis covered with dust and the light transmittance is reduced, leading to the output voltage is lower than a preset critical value, a one-chip microcomputer emits an instruction to close the relay. Then the solar cell panel dedusting comb-shaped circuit is conducted. The charge particles jump up and fly to the edge under the effect of a traveling wave electric field force and the effect of dedusting is achieved. When the output voltage signal is higher than the preset critical value, the one-chip microcomputer emits an instruction to open the relay so that the dedusting loop is cut off.

The invention relates to redox-switchable material comprising a redox-active moiety adsorbed, bonded or both, to a semiconductor material. Among the preferred redox-active moieties disclosed herein are ferrocenes, acridines, and quinones though any such moiety may be employed. The redox-switchable material of this invention may be used to selectively remove one or more selected solutes from an aqueous solution wherein adsorption / complexation of the solute is influenced by the oxidation state of the redox-active moiety. In an alternative embodiment, inclusion moieties that are covalently bound to the redox-active moiety are employed to achieve selective complexation of the desired solute. Other possible applications of the disclosed materials are photoerasable writing media, electrochromic or photochromic materials, catalysis, and solar energy storage.

Systems and methods are described that employ high-intensity lasers to set up a thin plasma sheet, also called a waveguide or “hot shell”, in the atmosphere as a function of beam intensity and geometry. A laser beam can be spread and directed with physical optics (e.g., lenses, mirrors, other optical elements, etc.) to generate a thin inverted cone-shaped hot shell waveguide in the atmosphere. The hot shell of the waveguide has a different index of refraction (n) from that of the surrounding air layers and as such serves to internally reflect portions of the entering solar rays entering an aperture in the hot shell, toward the tip of the cone and a solar energy storage component positioned there, thus providing a virtual solar energy concentration system. In another embodiment, the solar energy storage component shuts down or otherwise rejects incoming solar energy when fully charged, to mitigate damage to system components.

Tri-branched azobenzene/graphene composite energy storage material and preparation method thereof

The invention relates to a tri-branched azobenzene / graphene composite energy storage material and a preparation method thereof. According to the invention, tri-branched azobenzene is grafted on single-layer graphene. The method comprises a nucleophilic substitution reaction and a diazonium salt method. First, disperse orange and p-aminoazophenyl-4-sulfonic acid react with trimethyl-1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid, such that tri-branched azobenzene is synthesized; and the tri-branched azobenzene is compounded with pretreated reduced graphene oxide. Compared to azobenzene small molecules, the obtained tri-branched azobenzene / graphene composite material is greatly improved in energy value and half-life period, and facilitates solar energy heat storage. Through DSC detection, the energy density of the prepared tri-branched azobenzene / graphene composite material is 150-250Wh / kg. The material has an important application prospect in solar energy storage in the future.

The invention takes silica sol and wax as materials, and during the preparation process, firstly, wax is added into the silica sol, then necessary addition agent is added; after that, the mixture is heated and blended fast so as to develop into emulsion; the pH valve of the system is adjusted or that precipitation reagent is added so as to make the mixture of wax and silicic acid to separate out from the system; in this way, wax composite phase change energy storage material for shaping silica sol can be prepared. The invention provides an economic, simple, convenient and practical universal method for preparing wax composite phase change energy storage material for shaping silica sol. The method has no pollution to the environment and the wax composite phase change energy storage material prepared through the method is high in purity and good in energy storage performance. Therefore, the method is of application prospect in the fields of constant temperature material, solar energy storage, energy utilization and conversion, and the utilization of waste heat and waste cold energy.

The invention relates to an intelligently compound pole tower inclined angle monitoring system, the structure of the device is as follows: the side wall of a case body is articulated with a case door; the case body is internally fixed with a controller, a GPRS, a DTU (a data terminal unit), a communication module, a sensor and a solar energy storage battery, wherein the upper end of the case body is fixed with a case cover; the case cover is fixed with a solar panel and a GPRS antenna; the solar panel is connected with the solar energy storage battery; a controller module is connected with the sensor, the solar energy storage battery and the DTU; the DTU is connected with the solar energy storage battery and a GPRS antenna; the case body is fixed on the intelligently compound pole tower; the acquisition data of the sensor is analyzed and judged by the controller; and when the inclined angle reaches setting threshold, the inclined angle and the relevant data are sent into a monitoring center and mobile phones of related power transmission staff members in a short message mode by the GPRS, thus timely discovering and processing slow inclination and collapse of the intelligently compound pole tower and providing powerful support for guaranteeing safe operation of a power grid.
