The platinum-palladium-nickel chamfered-octahedron porous nano-cage electrocatalyst is prepared through the following methods: uniformly mixing 1mg-100mg of F127 with 0.5mL-4.0mL of 20mM potassium chloroplatinate, 0.5mL-4.0mL of 20mM sodium chloroplatinate, 0.5mL-4.0mL of 20mM nickel chloride and 0.1mL-0.4mL of 6M hydrochloric acid under ultrasonic conditions; adding 2mL of 0.1M ascorbic acid solution, subjecting the mixed solution to standing for 0.5 to 8 hours in oil bath with a temperature of 95 DEG C, subjecting a final product to cyclic centrifuge washing with water and ethanol for three times, and carrying out drying for later use under room-temperature conditions; and dispersing the dried product in excessive concentrated nitric acid solution again, carrying out stirring for three days under room-temperature conditions, and carrying out washing, centrifuging and drying after a reaction ends up, thereby obtaining the platinum-palladium-nickel chamfered-octahedron porous nano-cage electrocatalyst. The material prepared by the method has excellent electrochemical oxygen reduction property.
