Diphenylamine is an organic compound with the formula (C₆H₅)₂NH. The compound is a derivative of aniline, consisting of an amine bound to two phenyl groups. The compound is a colorless solid, but commercial samples are often yellow due to oxidized impurities. Diphenylamine dissolves well in many common organic solvents, and is moderately soluble in water. It is used mainly for its antioxidant properties. Diphenylamine is widely used as an industrial antioxidant, dye mordant and reagent and is also employed in agriculture as a fungicide and antihelmintic.

The present invention relates to a low phosphorus lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engines which demonstrates fuel economy benefits while also providing high temperature oxidation, piston deposits, and wear. The lubricating oil composition of the present invention comprises: a) major amount of a base oil of lubricating viscosity; b) from about 0.1 to 10 wt % of an overbased alkaline earth metal alkyl aryl sulfonate detergent having a total base number (TBN) of about 25 to 500; c) from about 0.02 to 10 wt % of a oxymolybdenum-containing complex; d) from about 0.1 to 5 wt % of a friction modifier; and e) from about 0.2 to 10 wt % of an antioxidant selected from the group consisting of a diphenylamine type, a sulfurized ester-containing compound and mixtures thereof; wherein the total concentration of the oxymolybdenum-containing complex and antioxidant must be at least 1.3 wt %, based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition and wherein the phosphorus content of the total lubricating oil composition is 0.08 wt % or less, based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition.

The lubricating grease provided by the invention has dropping point larger than 165 DEG C, is free of volatile solvent, is convenient for coating, has low production cost and enhanced lubrication effects, and can effectively meet the internal and external lubrication and protection requirements of the steel wire rope during operation.

Polyimides having a desired combination of high thermo-oxidative stability, low moisture absorption and excellent chemical and corrosion resistance are prepared by reacting a mixture of compounds including (a) 3,3',4,4'-benzophenonetetracarboxylic dianhydride (BTDA), (b) 3,4'-oxydianiline (3,4'-ODA), and (c) 5-norbornene-2,3-dicarboxylic anhydride (NA) in a high boiling, aprotic solvent to give 5 to 35% by weight of polyamic acid solution. The ratio of (a), (b), and (c) is selected to afford a family of polyimides having different molecular weights and properties. The mixture first forms a polyamic acid precursor. Upon heating at or above 300° C., the polyamic acids form polyimides, which are particularly suitable for use as a high temperature coating, adhesive, thin film, or composite matrix resin.

Use of an oligomer-based additive for stabilizing a lubricating composition for a conveyor chain

The use of an additive including a mixture of oligomers that is produced from the reaction of aromatic amines chosen from:(i) the reaction with one another of diphenylamine (DPA) compounds of formula (I) below:wherein the groups R1 and R2 stand for, independently of one another, a hydrogen or a linear or branched alkyl group having from 1 to 30 carbon atoms, advantageously from 4 to 12 carbon atoms,(ii) the reaction with one another of phenyl-α-naphthylamine (PAN) compounds of formula (II) below:wherein the group R3 stands for a hydrogen or a linear or branched alkyl group having from 1 to 30 carbon atoms, advantageously from 4 to 12 carbon atoms, and(iii) the reaction of a (DPA) compound of formula (I) above with a (PAN) compound of formula (II) above as an agent for the stabilization of a lubricating composition for a conveyor chain subjected to a temperature of at least 120° C.

The rubber packing leather material used for the brake cylinder system, provided by the invention, is resist in grease, resist in fatigue, strong in permanent deformation capability resistance and long in service life.
