Abstract

The invention discloses an expanded vermiculite modified anti-mold paperboard and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: 1) boiling traditional Chinese herbal medicines in water so as to obtain a traditional Chinese herbal medicine extract; 2) in the presence of ultraviolet rays, activating expanded vermiculite, plant ash, sodium chloroplatinate and molybdenum disulfide so as to obtain an activated substance; 3) under an acid condition, mixing the activated substance with amino acid, and modifying so as to obtain a modified activated substance; 4) performing contact reaction on acrylic emulsion, polystyrene, dioctyl phthalate, aluminum oxide, boron nitride and sodium nitrite, and mixing by adding an emulsifier, the modified activated substance and the traditional Chinese herbal medicine extract so as to obtain an anti-mold coating; 5) coating the surface of a paperboard body with the anti-mold coating, and drying, thereby obtaining the expanded vermiculite modified anti-mold paperboard. The expanded vermiculite modified anti-mold paperboard is excellent in mechanical property, water resistance and antibacterial property.
