Immediate release formulations of 1-aminocyclohexane compounds, memantine and neramexane

The present invention relates to an immediate release solid oral dosage form containing 1-aminocyclohexanes, preferably memantine or neramexane, and optionally a pharmaceutically acceptable coating, wherein the active ingredient exhibits dose proportionality and is released at a dissolution rate of more than about 80% within about the first 60 minutes following entry of said form into a use environment. The dosage form is direct compressed and has a hardness within the range of between about 3 and about 40 Kp, exhibits an average Tmax within the range of about 2 to about 8 hours with an active ingredient load within the range of about 2.5 to about 150 mg. The formulation allows for dose-proportional compositions for once daily or b.i.d. dosing, while maintaining a steady average range of Tmax.

The catalyst for converting the diisononyl phthalate, the diisooctyl phthalate, the dibutyl phthalate and other long-chain esters into corresponding the 1,2-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid binary ester through the hydrogenation consists of main active ingredients, additives and carriers, wherein the main active ingredients are noble metal Ru and Pd; the additives are Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and other metals or oxides; and macroporous Al2O3, ZrO2, TiO2 and the like are selected as the carriers. A hot melt adhesive that is composed of a metallocene catalyzed polyethylene polymer, a hydrogenated styrenic block copolymer, a tackifying resin, and a solid plasticizer. The preferred polyethylene polymer is an ethylene-octene copolymer, and the preferred styrenic block copolymer is a styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene having less than 30% styrene content. The preferred solid plasticizer is either glycerol tribenzoate or 1,4-cyclohexane dimethanol dibenzoate.

There is provided a biaxially oriented polyester film comprising a polyester which contains repeating units containing 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid and 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol as main components, and exhibits a melting point of not less than 200° C., wherein the biaxially oriented polyester film has a heat shrinkage percentage of not more than 5% as measured at 130° C. in each of longitudinal and width directions thereof, and a total light transmittance of not less than 90%. The biaxially oriented polyester film of the present invention exhibits an excellent heat resistance notwithstanding the film is composed of an aliphatic polyester, and a good transparency inherent to the aliphatic polyester, and can be suitably used in optical applications.

Disclosed is a process for a cyclohexanedimethanol by hydrogenation of a cyclohexane-dicarboxylate ester in the presence of a Raney metal catalyst doped with rhenium. The process is useful for the reparation of 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol from dialkyl esters of 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylate or dialkyl terephthalates. When Raney nickel is used as the catalyst, the process produces CHDM having a high trans content.

Process and equipment for preparing adipic acid by catalyzing air and oxidizing cyclohexane

The invention discloses a process and a plant for preparing adipic acid by catalytically aerobically oxidizing cyclohexane. The process comprises the following steps: dissolving 1 to 50 PPM of a catalyst including single metalloporphyrin or mu-oxo bimetallic porphyrin or a mixture of single metalloporphyrin, mu-oxo bimetallic porphyrin and transition metal salt or oxide in cyclohexane; introducing 5 to 12 atm of air or oxygen-rich or oxygen-poor air into a multi-stage oxidation reactor with a gas distributor; controlling the reaction temperature at 140 to 160 DEG C; oxidizing cyclohexane for 45 to 120 min; feeding the mixture of the oxidation reaction into a flash separator to carry out flash evaporation at the temperature of 78 to 155 DEG C and under the pressure of 0.1 to 1.0 atm, so that the low-boiling-point products such as cyclohexane, cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone change to gas and are separated from adipic acid with the content above 80%; continuously circularly oxidizing the low-boiling-point products to separate and purify the high-boiling-point oxidation product; and purifying and separating by the existing technique to obtain fine adipic acid product. The process can directly prepare adipic acid by aerobically oxidizing cyclohexane, wherein the conversion rate of cyclohexane is up to 95%, and the yield of adipic acid is up to 70%.

Chiral ruthenium catalysts comprising salen and alkenyl ligands are provided for stereoselective cyclopropanation, and methods of cyclopropanation are provided. The chiral ruthenium catalyst is prepared in situ by combining an alkenyl ligand, a deprotonated chiral salen ligand, and a ruthenium (II) metal. A preferred catalyst is prepared in situ by combining 2,3-dihydro-4-venylbenzofuran, deprotonated 1,2-cyclohexanediamino-N,N′-bis(3,5-di-t-butyl-salicylidene) and RuCl2(p-cymene)]2.
