The compound modified starch coal water slurry dispersing agent is used for preparing coal water slurry, when the concentration of the coal water slurry reaches 69wt%, the apparent viscosity of the coal water slurry is still less than 1200mPa.s and is 1134mPa.s. The main raw material of the prepared compound modified starch coal water slurry dispersing agent is regenerative and non-toxic starch which is low in cost and wide in source; when the slurry dispersing agent is prepared, the energy consumption of the process is low, the cost of the auxiliary raw material is low, the use amount of the auxiliary raw material is low, and 'three wastes' are not emitted; the preparation method is suitable for industrial production.
