The present invention relates to novel polymeric compositions that exhibit Reverse Thermal Gelation (RTG) properties for use as Support Materials (SM) in the manufacture of three-dimensional objects. These polymers are Temperature Sensitive Polymers that respond with a significant change of properties to a small change in temperature. Temperature Sensitive Polymers exhibit cloud point (CP) or lower critical solution temperature (LCST) in aqueous solutions. Water-soluble Temperature Sensitive Polymers are chosen to give low viscosity liquid at low temperature when dissolved in water and by that to permit easy dispensing at low temperature. Raising the temperature above their gelation temperature (T_gel) will result in solidification of the composition. At its gel position the material has favorable characteristics as a support and building material. The gel layers have the appropriate toughness and dimensional stability to support the model layers during the building process. After the building process is completed the gel can be cooled down to a temperature below its T_gel so the gel can liquefy and be removed easily by rinsing with water.

A demineralized bone matrix (DBM) or other matrix composition is provided that has been stabilized by lowering the pH of the composition, reducing the water content, adding water substitutes, and/or increasing the amount of deuterated water present in the composition in order to reduce the activity of endogenous degrading enzymes such as proteases. A hydrated form of a stabilized DBM composition may be stable up to a year at room temperature at acidic pH. The acidified DBM compositions may be further stabilized by the addition of a stabilizing agent such as deuterated water, water substitutes, polymers, protease inhibitors, glycerol, hydrogels, etc. The invention also provides methods of preparing, testing, and using the inventive stabilized osteodinductive matrix compositions.

The invention discloses a method and equipment for preparing ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene fibers. The method comprises the following steps of: blending and melting ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene and a modifier to prepare a granular or powdery modified ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene raw material; melting and extruding the raw material by using an extruder to form melt of which a flow rate is 0.01 to 0.2 grams per 10 minutes, feeding the melt to a spinning mould by using a melt pump to form melt strips, and cooling and pre-stretching the melt strips to obtain primary yarns; and stretching the primary yarns in a plurality of stages to obtain the ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene fibers. The equipment comprises the extruder, the melt pump, the spinning mould, a cooling channel, a three-roller tractor, a primary hot-stretching box, a first seven-roller tractor, a secondary hot-stretching box, a second seven-roller tractor, a rinsing trough, a drying box and a winder which are arranged sequentially. The method and the equipment have the characteristics of continuous production capability, relatively shorter process flow, relatively fewer equipment components, no need of solvent, low production cost and the like.

The boric acid (the cross-linking agent) has been found to function as a cross-linking agent for the high molecular binder used to make the propellant, thereby improving the composition's ability to withstand combustion without melting. Provided is a tire rubber composition blended with an antioxidant that is derived from a raw material other than petroleum resources, the tire rubber composition being capable of achieving an oxidation resistance equal to or higher than a conventional level and of improving forming processability and a low hysteresis loss property.
