The present invention relates to a binder composition comprising a glass powder with a particle size of at least less than 0.15 mm and an alkali activator containing at least one alkali metal and at least one silicate. Preferably, a sodium silicate with a SiO2:Na2O weight ratio between about 1.6:1 to about 2.0:1. Mixed with water, the binder composition can be cured at ambient temperature, but rapidly yields a very high strength at an elevated temperature between about 40° C. to about 120° C. Preferably, between about 70° C. to about 90° C. The invention further provides a method of making artificial stone using glass as a sole binder and aggregate.

The invention discloses a floating auxiliary roller type overrun clutch which comprises an outer ring, an inner ring, rolling bodies and auxiliary rollers, wherein engagement spaces used for being engaged with or separated from the rolling bodies are formed between the outer ring and the inner ring; the auxiliary rollers are parallel to an axial line of the overrun clutch and are spaced from the rolling bodies; and the auxiliary rollers are arranged between the rolling bodies in such a way that the auxiliary rollers can move in a circumferential direction of the overrun clutch. According to the floating auxiliary roller type overrun clutch, the processing of a limiting seat is avoided, the processing process is simplified, the working efficiency is improved, and the processing cost is reduced; as the auxiliary roller structure is adopted, the axial length of the overrun clutch and the rolling bodies can be theoretically infinitely prolonged, the engagement length is prolonged, the bearing capacity of the overrun clutch is increased, the radial size of the overrun clutch under higher bearing capacity is reduced, and the service life of the overrun clutch is prolonged; and meanwhile, the probability of imbalance caused by application of a pretension force to point contact of each roller in the prior art is removed, thereby enabling each roller to keep parallel to the axial line of the inner ring.

Process of removing calcium and obtaining sulfate salts from an aqueous sugar solution

The present invention provides a process for obtaining a product stream comprising one or more sulfate salts of potassium, sodium or ammonium from a sugar stream resulting from [processing a lignocellulosic feedstock, said sugar stream which includes calcium sulfate and one or more of these sulfate salts. The process comprises (i) treating the sugar stream to remove calcium, thereby producing a sugar stream containing substantially no calcium, and obtaining a salt stream comprising a calcium salt;(ii) choosing a feed stream that is either (a) a clarified salt stream derived from the salt stream of step (i) after removal of calcium therefrom; or (b) the sugar stream containing substantially no calcium that is produced in step (i); (iii) introducing the feed stream chosen in step (ii) to an ion exchange bed; and (iv) regenerating the ion exchange resin bed of step (iii) with sulfuric acid to produce the product stream.

The invention concerns a process for the spheroidisation, densification and purification of powders through the combined action of plasma processing, and ultra-sound treatment of the plasma-processed powder. The ultra-sound treatment allows for the separation of the nanosized condensed powder, referred to as ‘soot’, from the plasma melted and partially vaporized powder. The process can also be used for the synthesis of nanopowders through the partial vaporization of the feed material, followed by the rapid condensation of the formed vapour cloud giving rise to the formation of a fine aerosol of nanopowder. In the latter case, the ultra-sound treatment step serves for the separation of the formed nanopowder form the partially vaporized feed material.
