The method comprises the following steps that corn stalk powder is prepared; a potassium peroxodisulfate with the concentration being 36 wt%, a sodium sulfite solution with the concentration being 52 wt%, an acrylic acid solution with the neutralization being 50-70%, acrylamide, polyethyleneglycol diacrylate, urea and the corn stalk powder are sequentially added into a reactor on the condition of a cold bath and stirring, then, water is added to reach the needed volume, and a monomer phase is obtained; span-60 is added into the reactor, the monomer phase obtained in the third step is slowly added on the condition that nitrogen is introduced, then k2SO3 is added for standing for 20 min, the rotating speed is increased to be subjected to a reaction for 3 h, after the reaction is finished, suction filtration is performed to obtain bead form gel, and vacuum drying is performed at the temperature of 42-48 DEG C for 3-6 h to obtain the powdered corn stalk fertilizer. According to the method, the corn stalk based high-water-absorption fertilizer is prepared at normal temperature, the reaction conditions are mild, energy conservation and environmental protection are achieved at the room temperature, the obtained fertilizer is good in water absorption and water retention, and high in slow-release effect, and the preparation technology is simple and low in price.
