The invention relates to the technical field of
coke oven gas application, and discloses a method for synthesizing
ethylene glycol by using
coke oven gas. The method specifically comprises the following steps: after
coke oven gas is subjected to
tar and dust removal, compression, coarse desulfurization, TSA adsorption
tower adsorption and regeneration, further compression, fine desulfurization, cooling and cryogenic separation, CO in the purity of 99% is synthesized into DMO, H2 in the purity of 99% and the synthesized DMO are synthesized in
ethylene glycol, and meanwhile, the separated
desorption gas containing 70%-80% of H2 is conveyed to a
blast furnace for
hydrogen injection ironmaking. According to the method, CO and H2 in
coke oven gas are fully recycled and utilized to be converted into an
ethylene glycol product with a higher additional value by adopting the
coke oven gas to produce
ethylene glycol, waste is turned into wealth, energy is utilized, the problems of energy waste and environmental
pollution caused by the fact that the
coke oven gas is emptied and burnt off are avoided, great
economic benefits and social and environmental benefits are achieved, and the method plays a demonstration role in utilization of
coke oven gas in iron and steel enterprises.
