Parking environment management system and method

A system and method for managing a permit-based parking environment governed by a parking program. The permit-based parking environment includes a number of parking permits each including a unique RFID tag and tag number. One or more RFID readers are used to scan the vehicles parked in the parking environment to determine if a RFID tag is associated with the parked vehicle. The results of the scan along with information related to the parked vehicle are provided to a permit management system to determine if the vehicle is parked within the scope of privileges pre-defined for that vehicle, pursuant to the parking program governing the parking environment. The permit management system stores, manages, and monitors data related to the permits controlled under the parking program.

Internet and intelligent public bicycle traffic management system and reservation scheduling method

Construction of a bicycle intelligent control module, and an electronic control lock, a user intelligent terminal app and a server which are matched with the intelligent control module are involved in an internet and intelligent public bicycle traffic management system and a reservation scheduling method. The intelligent control module is arranged in a bicycle body, the electronic control lock is additionally arranged on the bicycle, the server can still obtain information of the bicycle instantly for replacement of the electronic control lock if the electronic control lock fails, and the bicycle can not rely on easily-damaged locks too much. By means of the server, establishment of a basic database of user data, bicycle data and user reservation bicycle utilization data and two-way data management of real-time data monitoring and history data analysis can be achieved, and support of data can provide the decision making basis for scheduling and management of whole public traffic. The traditional estimation mode is overturned through scheduling and management of the bicycle, and optimization iteration is conducted in an automatic and intelligent mode according to user requirements.

Lock assembly with self retained barrel lock

A security device comprises a first component having a through first passageway surrounded by an internal first recess, and a second component having a second passageway surrounded by an internal second recess. The first and second components are configured for assembly in a mating relationship with the first and second passageways in communication with each other and in coaxial alignment. A lock has a barrel containing a spring and plunger and carrying radially shiftable locking elements, with the plunger being normally biased by the spring in one direction urging the locking elements into expanded positions protruding radially from the barrel. The barrel is insertable into and releasably retained in an unlocked position in the first passageway with the locking elements expanded radially outwardly into the first recess, and is shiftable by a forwardly applied axial force into a locked position in the second passageway with the locking elements expanded into the second recess. The first recess has a forward surface configured to coact with the locking elements in response to the forwardly applied force to exert a reactionary force urging the locking elements radially inwardly and urging the plunger in the opposite direction to accommodate retraction of the locking elements from the first recess.
