According to the solar heat collection type drying device and the control method thereof, the solar energy can be obtained through the solar heat collection device, the obtained energy is transferred to the airflow in the fan through the heat exchange device, so that the airflow heating function is achieved, heating and heat transferring functions can be achieved on the materials effectively, the drying rate is increased, the drying efficiency is improved, the solar energy is effectively used under the circumstance of the same dry degree, and less energy is consumed.
