The invention discloses a preparation method and application of a
hybrid cation LiCa-LSX
molecular sieve. The method comprises the following steps: I, preparing a CaLSX
molecular sieve, and performing multiple times of exchange with a solution with Ca<2+> to completely substitute Na<+> in the CaLSX
molecular sieve by Ca<2+>; II, exchanging the CaLSX molecular
sieve into a LiCa-LSX molecular
sieve, exchanging by using a solution with Li<+>, directly performing vacuum suction without washing an exchanged sample, performing normal-temperature
drying, and performing activation pretreatment on the sample, thereby obtaining the
hybrid cation LiCa-LSX molecular
sieve. The LiCa-LSX molecular sieve can be used as a selective adsorbent for N2 and O2 in a PSA / VPSA
oxygen making process. In

water washing is avoided, and then the case that Li<+> is lost because Li<+> is substituted by H<+> because of
hydrolysis is avoided; in the exchange process, Li<+> is low in exchange degree and small in use amount, and the cost is easy to control; the lowest
activation temperature applicable to sufficient
dehydration of the LiLSX molecular sieve is adopted, the
treatment time is short, Li<+> is prevented from migrating to relatively low positions (SI and SII), and thus a case that Li<+> can be in the SII position can be ensured sufficiently.
