The invention relates to the field of power
system devices, in particular to a novel monitoring and protecting
system for a test
thyristor of a converter valve module. The
system provided by the invention comprises
thyristor electronic equipment (TE), valve-based
electronic equipment (VBE), a control
protection system and the like. The control
protection system computes the triggering angle of the
thyristor according to the current operation condition of a converter valve and sends the triggering angle to the VBE, the VBE generates a triggering coded pulse and sends the triggering coded pulse to the TE, and the TE generates a triggering pulse and sends the triggering pulse to the thyristor, thereby triggering the thyristor. The TE generates a monitoring and protecting return pulse according to the state of the thyristor, the return pulse is transferred to the VBE through an
optical fiber, the VBE gathers the uploaded state information, then the gathered information is uploaded to the control
protection system through a CAN (Controller
Area Network)
bus, and the control protection system finishes the process of monitoring the state information of the valve module thyristor level. In the normal operation process of the converter valve, if the
voltage received by the thyristor exceeds the tolerance capability of the thyristor, the thyristor can be damaged possibly, thus the protection technology of the thyristor is very important. The control protection system, the VBE and the TE finish the protection of the normal operation of the converter valve module.
