The invention discloses a method of preparing
sarcosine by a bipolar membrane
electrodialysis process. The method comprises the following steps: diluting a
sodium sarcosinate
aqueous solution to 5%-25%, then, adding a pre-prepared 5%
sodium sulfate solution into a material chamber and a polar chamber, adding equal volume of deionized water into the acid chamber and an alkaline chamber, starting a
circulating pump in each chamber after getting ready, regulating flow velocity to 3cm / s-25cm / s, starting a bipolar membrane
electrodialysis equipment power supply, controlling the temperature to 10-50 DEG C in an
electrodialysis process, and regulating current to 1-10A; after the
conductivity of the material chamber is reduced to 1000 mu s / cm-3000 mu s / cm, stopping operation, discoloring, concentrating, separating and
drying a feed liquid obtained in the acid chamber to obtain
sarcosine, and also discoloring, concentrating, separating and
drying a
sodium hydroxide solution obtained in the alkaline chamber. The invention aims to provide the method of preparing
sarcosine by the bipolar membrane electrodialysis process, which is simple and efficient, low in cost, free of
pollution, and capable of comprehensively utilizing a byproduct
sodium hydroxide.
