An inorganic proton-conducting membrane and a fuel cell comprising this membrane. The fuel cell comprises a fuel anode, an oxidant cathode, and an inorganic proton-conducting membrane disposed between the anode and the cathode. The membrane is composed of a nano-structured network of proton-exchange inorganic particles. The particles form a sufficiently high density of proton-conducting nanometer-scaled channels with at least one dimension smaller than 100 nanometers so that ionic conductivity of the membrane is no less than 10−6 S / cm (mostly greater than 10−4 S / cm ) at 25° C. or no less than 10−4 S / cm (mostly greater than 10−2 S / cm) at 200° C. This inorganic membrane allows a hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell to operate at a higher temperature without the need (or with a reduced need) to maintain the membrane in a highly hydrated state. A higher operating temperature also implies a fast electro-catalytic reaction of a fuel (e.g., mixture of methanol and water) at the anode permitting a lesser amount of fuel to cross-over the membrane and, hence, a higher fuel utilization efficiency.

The invention comprises novel seed coating methods for applying wetting agents (or surfactants), tackifiers, and other beneficial soil and plant amendments, to single seeds or agglomerates composed of pellets containing multiple seeds. The invention can be used to: 1) ameliorate soil water repellency for increasing soil moisture availability; 2) bind seeds to the soil surface in order to prevent loss from wind and water erosion; 3) provide seedlings necessary leverage required for root penetration; 4) improve seedling emergence, by having several cotyledons associated with an agglomerate collectively generate sufficient force to penetrate the soil surface, with particular utility for seedlings impaired by a soil physical crust; and 5) minimize impacts from disturbance by increasing seedling stability.

The invention relates to an efficient burning furnace with a rotary fluidization grate. The burning furnace with the rotary fluidization grate consists of a feeding system, a burning system and a slagging system; moreover, a waste heat boiler and a flue gas treatment system are connected with the burning furnace to form a complete garbage burning and generating system. The feeding system consists of a feeding hopper, a pre-drying conveying device, an aggregate bin, a chute and a charge distributor. The feeding hopper is a receiving opening for feeding garbage into the burning furnace and is arranged in a garbage storage pit close to one side of the burning furnace. An outlet of the feeding hopper is connected with an inlet of the pre-drying conveying device. A material level switch is arranged in the feeding hopper, and gives an alarm to prompt an operator to feed materials when the material level is lower than a set value so as to ensure that the hopper is not empty. The outlet of the hopper can be selectively provided with a feeding device. The burning furnace has the advantages of high burning speed, high burning efficiency, high slag burning degree, easy control, lower energy consumption, low pollution, low cost and investment conservation, and is applicable to domestic garbage with low thermal value and high moisture; and the garbage does not need to be pretreated.
