The infrared optical glass comprises 30-40 parts of quartz, 40-50 parts of phosphorus pentoxide, 20-30 parts of anhydrous mirabilite, 25-30 parts of boric acid, 5-10 parts of potassium nitrate, 20-25 parts of dolomite, 3-5 parts of barium oxide, 1-3 parts of barium chloride, 3-5 parts of zinc oxide, 5-7 parts of titanium oxide, 5-10 parts of kaolin and 4-5 parts of carbon powder. According to the invention, aluminum oxide and boron oxide are added, and the added aluminum oxide and boron oxide can form an aluminum phosphate and boron phosphate combination with phosphorus oxide, so that a chain structure is converted into a more stable layered structure, and the chemical stability and compressive strength are improved; and silica is introduced, a stable network structure of aluminum phosphate-boron phosphate-silicon dioxide is formed.
