Engine timing control with intake air pressure sensor

An engine control apparatus is disclosed for determining crankshaft position and engine phase of an internal combustion engine through monitoring intake air pressure fluctuations. The opening of the intake valve is mechanically linked to the crankshaft position of an engine. When the intake valve opens it creates air pressure fluctuations in the air induction system of the engine. The control apparatus is configured to determine intake air pressure fluctuations indicative of an intake air event and thus a particular crankshaft position, and their corresponding period of the engine cycle. The controller then uses this information to determine crankshaft speed and position for the purpose of fuel injection and ignition timing of the internal combustion engine. Engine phase is also determined on four-stroke engines. The engine may also include a crankshaft position sensor in combination with monitoring intake air pressure fluctuations to increase resolution in determination of crankshaft position. A circuit is provided for simultaneously measuring intake temperature using a single bridge type pressure sensor in order to calculate air mass flow rate.

Single-chip bridge-type magnetic field sensor and preparation method thereof

The present invention discloses a design and manufacturing method for a single-chip magnetic sensor bridge. The sensor bridge comprises four magnetoresistive elements. The magnetization of the pinned layer of each of the four magnetoresistive elements is set in the same direction, but the magnetization directions of the free layers of the magnetoresistive elements on adjacent arms of the bridge are set at different angles with respect to the pinned layer magnetization direction. The absolute values of the angles of the magnetization directions of the free layers of all four magnetoresistive elements are the same with respect with their pinning layers. The disclosed magnetic biasing scheme enables the integration of a push-pull Wheatstone bridge magnetic field sensor on a single chip with better performance, lower cost, and easier manufacturability than conventional magnetoresistive sensor designs.

The duty ratio of the driving signal and the driving frequency respectively increase and decrease linearly along with time or respectively increase and decrease exponentially along with time, so that while the duty ratio of the driving signal increases to 50 percent, the driving frequency decreases to the resonance frequency fr, and soft start of the LLC resonant converter is achieved. Through the method, impact current occurring in the start process of the resonant circuit can be restrained, the start time is short, a driving circuit is easy to obtain, and cost is low.

Via the counter-potential zero-crossing detection circuit and the counter-potential zero-crossing detection method disclosed by the invention, the danger that a counter-potential amplitude value is greater than the power supply voltage value of the detection circuit in case of high speed can be avoided. Simultaneously, as a mode that low-speed-area counter-potential sampling and high-speed-area counter-potential sampling are switched by controlling the signal duty ratio is adopted, the counter-potential zero-crossing detection effect in a low-speed area can be effectively improved. Experimental results indicate that the counter-potential zero-crossing detection circuit and the counter-potential zero-crossing detection method for the brushless direct-current motor can ensure the working of the motor within a relatively wide rotational speed range.
