The invention discloses
magnesium hydroxide-expandable
graphite compounded
flame-retardant nylon 6 and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method is characterized by comprising the following steps:
drying magnesium hydroxide, putting dried
magnesium hydroxide into a high-speed mixing
machine, uniformly spraying a
sodium stearate solution to the surface of magnesium hydroxide by virtue of a spraying
bottle, and stirring for modification, so as to obtain a modified sample; adding an
ethanol water solution into the expandable
graphite, adequately stirring, dropwise adding a
silane coupling agent KH550, stirring for
hydrolysis, adding
boric acid, stirring to react, filtering, and
drying, so as to obtain modified expandable
graphite; adding
acetone into
carbon fibers, soaking for treatment, soaking the
carbon fibers into concentrated
nitric acid, washing, carrying out ultrasonic cleaning, and
drying, so as to obtain surface-oxidized
carbon fibers; and drying nylon 6 for 4-6 hours, mixing the nylon 6 with
liquid paraffin, a
graphene micropiece and the obtained material, carrying out
melt blending and
extrusion by virtue of a double-screw extruder, carrying out traction and drawing, and carrying out
granulation by virtue of a granulator, so as to obtain particles.
