According to the method, hydroxyethyl cellulose is used as a matrix material, and the nano cellulose microcrystal is used as a reinforcing skeleton; a large number of hydroxyl groups of hydroxyethyl cellulose and the nano cellulose microcrystal are cross-linked and reinforced by using poly(polyisocyanate); and the HEC/PVA interpenetrating network aerogel is successfully prepared by cross-linking with glutaraldehyde. The operation is simple, the cost is low, and mechanical properties, recovery property and recyclable times of the prepared HEC/ PVA interpenetrating network aerogel are all greatly improved.
