The feedback device has a waveguiding portion fabricated at least in part out of a glass material having both organic and inorganic components. A control device is provided for controlling the refractive index of the glass material so as to change the wavelength of feedback to the laser diode. The glass material may for example have thermo-optic properties and the control device might then be a heating device for heating the glass material. The feedback device can have more than one portion, a second portion for example having controllable coupling characteristics for coupling optical radiation into or out of the feedback device. Polyester compositions for calendering

Polyester compositions that provide a higher throughput in calendering processes may be prepared from a polyester having crystallization half time of at least 5 minutes, an inherent viscosity of about 0.55 to about 0.75 dL / g, a branching monomer, and a release additive. The polyester compositions show a combination of excellent melt strength with good shear response that permits higher calendering line speeds before melt fracture occurs. Also disclosed are processes for film or sheet by calendering the above compositions and the film or sheet produced therefrom. The polyester compositions, film, or sheet also may include plasticizers and / or flame retardants to increase their flexibility and enable their use in commercial applications requiring flame resistance. The film and sheet have excellent appearance and can be used in a wide range of decorative and packaging applications.

The invention discloses a controllable rheological high-gloss polypropylene resin which is composed of the following components in parts by weight: 100 parts of homo polypropylene as a base material, 0.1-0.25 part of processing agent, 0.15-0.2 part of nucleating agent, 0-1.5 parts of hardness regulator, 0.05-0.1 part of glossiness regulator and 1-12 parts of oxide master batch, wherein the number-average molar mass of the homo polypropylene is 61235-65210; the oxide master batch is formed by mixing 100 parts of homo polypropylene and 0.1-0.65 part of peroxide. Because of adopting the controllable rheological technology, the invention can flexibly regulate the melt flowing rate of the material, and the material has excellent processability, heat-resistant quality and mechanical property.
