A singlet telescope is provided for reshaping the laser beam to a larger or smaller diameter while maintaining the inherent quality of the beam. Applications for the singlet telescope include intercavity expansion to accommodate the damage thresh-old of various components, expansion of beams to match the size of different wavelengths for final collimation, and shrinking of beams to provide high irradiance for nonlinear processes such as optical parametric oscillation and frequency doubling, with the above applications usually requiring low power magnification or demagnification. Problems involving the utilization of these telescopes over wide temperature ranges and ghost reflections in which a light is reflected back to a pumping laser are minimized with the singlet construction, with the ghost reflections potentially creating damage of components including self-damage or breakdown of air, as well as damage to a Q-switched resonator which causes pre-lasing.

Micro-channel-cooled high heat load light emitting device

Micro-channel-cooled UV curing systems and components thereof are provided. According to one embodiment, a lamp head module includes an optical macro-reflector, an array of LEDs and a micro-channel cooler assembly. The array is positioned within the reflector and has a high fill factor and a high aspect ratio. The array provides a high irradiance output beam pattern having a peak irradiance of greater than 25 W / cm2 at a work piece surface at least 1 mm away from an outer surface of a window of the reflector. The micro-channel cooler assembly maintains a substantially isothermal state among p-n junctions of the LEDs at less than or equal to 80° Celsius. The micro-channel cooler assembly also provides a common anode substrate for the array. A thermally efficient electrical connection is formed between the array and the common anode substrate by mounting the array to the micro-channel cooler assembly.

The invention discloses a ring type hyperbranched polyarylenes containing pyridine and a preparation method thereof. The synthesizing of the polymer of the method is that newly distilled toluene solvent is added with a mixture containing end double alkyne monomers and nitrile monomers and then added with transition metal catalyzer CpCo(CO)2; each gram of a monomer which contains the end double alkyne is added with 10-100ml toluene solvent, 3-8ml nitrile monomer and 0.06-0.1g transition metal catalyst, and then the mixture is irradiated under 300w ultraviolet for reacting for 2 to 20h to obtain the hyperbranched polyarylenes containing pyridine ring. The alkyne-nitrile ring trimerization is a new method for constructing hyperbranched polyarylenes containing pyridine ring. By adopting one step synthesizing method, the polymerization of directly aroma cyclizing of alkyne and nitrile is simple. The hyperbranched polyarylenes shows high brightness and high irradiance efficiency, which is characterized by high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, light specific weight and high strength, etc. and is hopeful to be taken as a high capacity material in spaceflight.
