Layered-modeling device and method using said device for manufacturing three-dimensional objects

An object of the present invention is to easily eliminate fumes inside a chamber, so as to improve a positional accuracy of irradiation with a light beam and a machining accuracy in a method for manufacturing a three-dimensional shaped object. A stacked-layers forming device 1 includes a powder layer forming unit 3, a light beam irradiating unit 4, a base 22 which is fixed and on which a powder layer 32 is formed, a lifting / lowering frame 34 which surrounds the circumference of the base 22 and is freely capable of being lifted and lowered, a cover frame 36 which has a window 36a allowing transmission of light beam in its top surface, and whose bottom surface is opened, and which is disposed on the lifting / lowering frame 34 to form a chamber C, and a gas tank 71 for supplying an ambient gas. The lifting / lowering frame 34 is lowered to reduce the volume of the chamber C, so as to discharge fumes generated inside the cover frame 36, which performs replacement with the ambient gas. Since the volume of the chamber C is reduced, it is possible to easily eliminate the fumes, which makes it possible to improve the positional accuracy of irradiation with the light beam L, and the machining accuracy.

Full scale calibration measurement for multi-touch surfaces

Normalization of regions of a sensor panel capable of detecting multi-touch events, or a sensor panel capable of detecting multi-hover events, is disclosed to enable each sensor in the sensor panel to trigger a virtual button in a similar manner, given the same amount of touch or hover. Each sensor produces an output value proportional to the level or amount of touch or hover. However, due to processing, manufacturing and physical design differences, the sensor output values can vary from region to region or panel to panel for a given amount of touch or hover. To normalize the sensor output values across regions, gain and offset information can be obtained in advance, stored in nonvolatile memory, and later used to normalize the sensor output values so that all regions in the sensor panel can trigger virtual buttons similarly, providing a uniform “response function” at any location on the sensor panel.

Single column layout for content pages

A system and method for small computing devices that present a single column of content such as a web page such that a user need only scroll vertically to see the content. A parser converts HTML to CSS as necessary, and a single column style sheet modifies content for a more-optimized viewing experience. To this end, tables and tables cells are rendered as blocks, with no padding / border / margins and any explicit widths and heights changed to automatic. Other table elements are rendered as block level elements, and horizontal margins are eliminated or re-enabled on some elements in a reduced manner. Spacer images are removed, as well as cell background images and small images. Content such as text is wrapped, and images are resized as necessary based on the screen display width. The result is a single content column that facilitates viewing and scrolling in only one direction.

Wireless communication of physiological variables

The present invention relates to a system and a method of measuring a physiological variable in a body. A basic idea of the present invention is to measure a physiological variable in a body by means of employing a sensor (314) which is arranged to be disposed in the body for measuring the physiological variable. The sensor must be provided with a supply voltage in order to be operable. Therefore, a control unit (322) disposed outside the body provides this supply voltage to the sensor. The control unit also receives, from the sensor, via a wired connection (311), signals that represent the physiological variables that are measured. The control unit is arranged with a communication interface (401, 701) and a modulator (301) for wireless communication of the measured physiological variables for presentation purposes.
