The invention discloses an extending type digital steering engine and a working method thereof. The steering engine comprises a steering
engine control unit, a
motor control circuit, a motor driving module, a feedback module, a brushless motor, a
serial communication module, a retarding mechanism, a
position sensor and the like. According to the steering engine and the working method thereof, a standard
control mode and an extended
control mode are set, the compatibility is high, and the applicability is high. Since a
serial communication bus is adopted, parallel connection and serial connection can both be achieved in the
system assembly, so that the connector is simple, the
system connecting cable is drastically simplified, the reliability of the
system is improved, and a basis is laid for modularized design and modularized production. The technical problem that an existing traditional digital steering engine is small in
unit size output torque and the problems that closed-
loop control cannot be formed, no protection circuit exists, and the control signals and connector connecting cables are complex, large in number and low in reliability are solved, and the extending type digital steering engine can be widely applied to
mobile robot joint degree-of-freedom control, and can also be applied to unmanned
propeller actuating and control and manipulation and control of the attitude of aircrafts like a model
airplane.
