Method, system and device for treating disorders of the pelvic floor by means of electrical stimulation of the pudenal and associated nerves, and the optional delivery of drugs in association therewith

Described are implantable devices and methods for treating various disorders of the pelvic floor by means of electrical stimulation of the pudendal or other nerves, and optional means for delivering drugs in association therewith. A method of precisely positioning and implanting a medical electrical lead so as to provide optimal stimulation of the pudendal nerve or a portion thereof is also described. Placement of a stimulation lead next to or on the pudendal nerve may be performed using conventional prior art techniques through gross anatomical positioning, but usually does not result in truly optimal lead placement. One method of the present invention utilizes neurophysiological monitoring to assess the evoked responses of the pudendal nerve, and thereby provide a method for determining the optimal stimulation site. Additionally, one or more electrical stimulation signals are applied, and optionally one or more drugs are infused, injected or otherwise administered, to appropriate portions of a patient's pelvic floor and pudendal nerve or portions thereof in an amount and manner effective to treat a number of disorders, including, but not limited to, urinary and/or fecal voiding dysfunctions such as constipation, incontinence disorders such as urge frequency and urinary retention disorders, sexual dysfunctions such as orgasmic and erectile dysfunction, pelvic pain, prostatitis, prostatalgia and prostatodynia.

The present invention relates to stable liquid, allophanate-modified, partially trimerized diphenylmethane diisocyanates, the prepolymers of these stable liquid, allophanate-modified, partially trimerized MDI's, and to processes for the preparation of these compositions. These allophanate modified partially trimerized diphenylmethane diisocyanates comprise the reaction product of a diphenylmethane diisocyanate and an organic compound in the presence of a catalytic amount of one or more trimer catalysts, one or more allophanate catalysts, one or more allophanate-trimer catalysts and mixtures thereof. The prepolymers are the reaction product of the stable liquid, allophanate-modified, partially trimerized MDI's with a suitable isocyanate-reactive group containing compound.

The invention relates to additive manufacturing technologies and can be used for manufacturing parts and structures of composite materials reinforced by continuous fibers. The technical result is improving physical and mechanical characteristics and reducing the weight of products having a complex shape made of composite materials.The technical result is achieved by a print head containing a mechanism for supplying a plastic filament, a mechanism for supplying a reinforcing fiber, a mechanism for cutting the reinforcing fiber, a feed tube for the plastic filament, feed tubes for the reinforcing fiber and a heating unit. Furthermore, the heating unit contains a heater, a thermocouple or thermoresistor, and two inlet channels—a channel for the reinforcing fiber and a channel for the plastic filament—and a nozzle having an outlet channel for the reinforced plastic. Furthermore, the channel for the plastic filament is connected to the channel for the reinforcing fiber inside the heating unit, while the inlet channel for the reinforcing fibre is arranged coaxially with the outlet channel for the reinforced plastic. The invention makes it possible to increase the physical and mechanical characteristics of the product, to reduce the weight of the product, to reduce the cost of manufacture of complex shape products from composite materials.

Rice for diabetic patients and cultivation method thereof

The invention relates to rice suitable for diabetics and a cultivation method thereof. The rice contains resistant amylum of above 5 percent and the rest is digestible amylum. The cultivation method comprises the steps that: the rice seed is collected and a proper amount of the seed is kept for use and the rest of the rice seed is deshelled into the milled rice or processed into rice flour; then the processed rice or the rice flour is boiled for measuring the resistant amylum content in the boiled rice or the pasted rice flour; if the primarily selected sample is measured to have above 5 percent of resistant amylum content, the rice from which the sample is selected is planted; the rice is screened for evaluation and verification of the stability of resistant amylum content; the rice with stable resistant amylum content is used for reproduction to obtain rice with stable resistant amylum content of above 5 percent. The rice of the invention, which is suitable for diabetics, is resistant to digestion, can provide satiation feel and control the diet of the patient and glycaemic index, which has great significance for the diet treatment for diabetics.
