An ultracapacitor energy storage cell pack includes an ultracapacitor assembly including a plurality of parallel ultracapacitors and balancing resistors in series; an enclosure for the ultracapacitor assembly; a controller; one or more temperature sensors; a pack voltage sensor; a GFI sensor; one or more cooling fans carried by the enclosure; an on / off relay coupled to the ultracapacitor assembly and the controller, the on / off relay activated by the controller during normal operation of the ultracapacitor assembly and deactivated by the controller when the GFI sensor detects a ground fault interrupt condition, the one or more temperature sensors detect an over-temperature condition, or the pack voltage sensor detects an over-voltage condition; and a pre-charge resistor and a pre-charge relay coupled to the ultracapacitor assembly and the controller, and activated by the controller to cause the pre-charge resistor to limit pack charge current until the ultracapacitor assembly reaches a minimum voltage.

Disclosed is a lightning arrester. The lightning arrester safely discharges earth charge of a main electrode section and an auxiliary electrode section regardless of a variation of charge contained in air, so charge charged in a thundercloud is safely discharged into the earth even if the thundercloud is located far-remote from the earth. The lightning arrester has a fixing base fixedly installed on an object to be protected by grounding a lightning circuit connected to a ground electrode grounded to an earth, a fixing bar vertically installed at one side of an upper surface of the fixing base and made of conductive material, a main electrode section making contact with an upper portion of the fixing bar and made of conductive material, an upper polymer insulator including an elongated column member formed at a center thereof with a hollow section for receiving the fixing bar therein, and upper and lower disc-shaped plates integrally formed at an upper end of the elongated column member for ensuring an insulation distance, and an auxiliary electrode section aligned below the main electrode section without making contact with the main electrode section and made of conductive material. The elongated column member of the upper polymer insulator passes through a center of the auxiliary electrode section in order to fill space charge in the auxiliary electrode section.

The first and second check valve mechanisms, which are applicable to a small-size double-layered container, are created while maintaining high productivity. The discharge container provided with these check valve mechanisms comprises an outer container, which has the flexibility to make this outer container squeezable and recoverable to its original shape and which is provided with a cylindrical outer neck on top thereof. This discharge container also comprises an inner container, which is deformable with the decrease in the content and is disposed inside the outer container under the condition that cylindrical inner neck has been directly engaged with, and tightly fitted to, the outer neck. The first check valve mechanism is engaged with, and tightly fitted to, the inside of the inner neck and is used to open or close the opening of the inner neck while preventing outside air from creeping in the inner container. The second check valve mechanism is engaged with, and tightly fitted to, either one of the outer neck or the inner neck, with the lower end of this mechanism being in tight contact circumferentially with the other one of the outer neck or the inner neck, and is used to open or close airflow paths, which extends from the upper air intakes near the outer neck in a manner that allows outside air to enter the void between the outer and inner containers but does not allow air in the void to escape outside. There is thus provided a highly sanitary discharge container having high productivity and affording no entry of outside air into the inner container.

The mechanism further comprises a positioning template and a separating template. By the adoption of the mechanism, obstacles caused by nonuniform specifications of the combined paper cylinder fireworks can be overcome, and the combined paper cylinder fireworks can be filled with the round paper scraps smoothly. Production efficiency is improved, product quality problems caused by human factors are prevented, and the fireworks can be set off more safely.
