Oled microcavity subpixels and color filter elements

An OLED device includes at least one light emitting layer arranged to produce light in a predetermined emitting area, a reflector and a semi-transparent reflector forming a microcavity structure for resonating the light produced in the at least one light emitting layer, and a color filter element disposed relative to a first portion of the predetermined emitting area so as to filter the light produced by the at least one light emitting layer and transmit substantially unfiltered light through a second portion of the predetermined emitting area.

Light emitting device using led

A light-emitting device (10) using an LED is proposed. This light-emitting device (10) is provided with a packaging substrate (1), a light-emitting element (2) which is mounted on this packaging substrate (1) with its face down, a fluorescent member (3) that is arranged face to face with a light-extracting surface (S) of the light-emitting element (2) without contacting the light-emitting element (2) and an optical member (4) which receives light that has been emitted from the light-emitting element (2) and made incident thereon through the fluorescent member (3), and aligns the incident light toward the outside of the device. Light, emitted from the light-emitting element (2), is made incident on the fluorescent member (3) to excite the fluorescent material so that the fluorescent material re-emits light having a wavelength different from that of the incident light. Those light rays, emitted from the light-emitting element (2), which have not been absorbed by the fluorescent member (3) and have passed through the fluorescent member (3) and those light rays that have been emitted from the fluorescent material are made incident on the optical member (4) and are aligned. Because the fluorescent member (3) is not made in contact with the light-emitting element (2), it does not receive the heat from the light-emitting element (2) through heat conduction, and consequently becomes less susceptible to degradation due to heat. Moreover, with the face-down mounting structure, the fluorescent member (3) and the optical member (4) can be placed closer to the light-emitting element (2) as long as they dose not contact the light-emitting element (2). Consequently, the service life of the fluorescent material or the fluorescent-material-mixed resin that tends to deteriorate can be lengthened, lights can be extracted more efficiently, and light rays can be properly aligned in a predetermined direction.

Integrated software development and porting system for wireless devices

An integrated computer system and a method for developing a source code and for generating executable computer programs to be run on multiple wireless devices are provided. A computer system includes a wireless device selector, a universal and concurrent emulator, a build and porting engine, a resource manager, and a provisioning server. The computer system utilizes a source code, a database including attributes of wireless devices, one or more libraries containing generic libraries and specific libraries relating to the wireless devices, and resources for the wireless devices. After certain wireless devices are selected, the universal and concurrent emulator can automatically emulate the selected devices and automatically and concurrently test the source code on the emulated devices. The build and porting engine can automatically generate executable computer programs for at least some or all of the selected wireless devices. The build and porting engine can also provide the executable computer programs to the provisioning server, which can provide the executable computer programs to their respective wireless devices. After the executable computer programs are tested on the actual wireless devices, the test results and comments can be fed back to the provisioning server. The system uses a single source code, and the source code can be modified based on emulation test results and actual test results. The resource manager can manipulate and optimize the resources. The emulator, build and porting engine, resource manager, and provisioning server can share the same source code, database, libraries, and resources.

Liquid crystal display device and image display method thereof

A backlight device is divided into multiple regions, and has a configuration in which light emitted from a light source of each of the regions is allowed to leak to other regions. A maximum gradation detector detects a maximum gradation of a regional image signal displayed on each of the regions of the liquid crystal panel. An image gain calculator obtains a gain to be multiplied to each regional image signal. An emission luminance calculator obtains an emission luminance of light to be emitted by each light source, by using an operation expression according to the emission luminance of light to be emitted by the backlight device. At this time, if the emission luminance takes a negative value as a result of calculation, the emission luminance calculator makes a correction so that the emission luminance can take a value equal to or greater than 0.

Retardation film having a homeotropic alignment liquid crystal film and method for preparing the same

The present invention relates to a retardation film having a homeotropic alignment liquid crystal film, a polarizing film, an IPS (In-Plane Switching) mode liquid crystal display and a method for preparing the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a homeotropic alignment liquid crystal film prepared from a liquid crystal mixed solution containing a polymerizable reactive liquid crystal monomer so as to improve a viewing angle characteristic of an ISP mode liquid crystal display and reduce a color shift; a retardation film prepared by integrating an oriented retardation film and a method for preparing the same; a polarizing film having the retardation film located between a polarizing element or plate and a liquid crystal cell and a method for preparing the same; and an IPS mode liquid crystal display having the polarizing film. There is an advantage in that since a homeotropic alignment liquid crystal film with a retardation of a thickness direction is prepared using a liquid crystal mixed solution containing a reactive liquid crystal monomer, a retardation film according to the present invention is not required for high-temperature heat treatment and cooling processes so that it can be applied to a high-speed continuous process. Further, there is an advantage in that a retardation film having an oriented retardation film integrated with the homeotropic alignment liquid crystal film is arranged between a polarizing element or polarizing plate of an IPS mod liquid crystal display and a liquid crystal cell so that a contrast ratio can be increased up to about 1520%, and a color shift characteristic can be also improved.

Fabric treatment for stain release

A fabric treatment composition that includes at least one zeta potential modifier and a hydrophobic agent with a melting point or glass transition temperature below 100° C. that imparts fabric protection benefits, including improved stain and soil resistance, oil repellency, water repellency, softness, wrinkle and damage resistance, and better handfeel to treated fabrics. Particularly preferred compositions include at least one zeta potential modifier in an amount sufficient to adjust the zeta potential of the composition to be positive and greater than zero millivolts. Particularly preferred compositions also include a fluoropolymer. The composition can be used as a pretreatment prior to washing, through soaking or direct spray application, or added to the treatment liquor, that is either the wash or rinse cycle of an automatic washing machine, or used prior to or during the drying cycle of an automatic drying machine or refresher machine, or used prior to or in conjunction with an ironing device. The fabric treatment is complete when the fabric is cured by drying and / or heating.

Image processing system and image processing method

An image forming system is provided and includes an access unit, a reductive color processing unit, an order sheet print control unit, a composition unit, and a composite print control unit. The access unit accesses a user image stored in a recording medium, the processing unit forms a background image by reducing a color gamut of the user image, and the order sheet print control unit causes a printer unit to create an order sheet on which the background image is printed in a free rendering area. Also, the composition unit separates an area of a subject recorded by a user in the free rendering area from an image of the free rendering area read by a scan unit based on a color gamut of the background image and superimposing the area of the subject on the user image to thereby form a composite image. Finally, the composite print control unit causes the printer unit to print the composite image. A method that the system performs is also provided.
