A gas substitution system for a dual fuel diesel engine which monitors load and RPM and the operational state of the engine and vehicle including throttle displacement, cruise control, idle, wheel and engine braking, manual control. Data is collected to establish parameters such as fuel consumption and exhaust emissions for load / RPM pair values and using these to create a table of optimum gas substitution values at each load RPM pair within the range of operational states within which substitution is viable. The build and porting engine can also provide the executable computer programs to the provisioning server, which can provide the executable computer programs to their respective wireless devices. After the executable computer programs are tested on the actual wireless devices, the test results and comments can be fed back to the provisioning server. The system uses a single source code, and the source code can be modified based on emulation test results and actual test results. The resource manager can manipulate and optimize the resources. The emulator, build and porting engine, resource manager, and provisioning server can share the same source code, database, libraries, and resources.

This invention provides a method and apparatus for a hemodiafiltration delivery module that is used in conjunction with a UF controlled dialysis machine to enable hemodiafiltration therapy to be performed. The present invention provides a technique for reducing the number of write barriers without compromising garbage collector performance or correctness. To that end, a compiler defers emitting write barriers until it reaches a subsequent instruction in the mutator code. At this point, the compiler may elide repeated or unnecessary write-barrier code so as to emit only those write barriers that provide useful information to the garbage collector. By eliminating write-barrier code in this manner, the amount of write-barrier overhead in the mutator can be minimized, consequently enabling the mutator to execute faster and more efficiently. Further, collocating write barriers after the predetermined instruction also enables the compiler to generate object code having better cache performance and more efficient use of guard code than is possible using conventional write-barrier implementations.

A metering valve assembly comprising a ferrule and a valve housing defining an internal cavity. The valve housing accommodates an annular flange and a compression spring therein with a valve gasket closing the internal cavity. The valve housing is attached to the ferrule such that a stem portion of the valve stem protrudes through apertures provided in both the valve gasket and the ferrule. A stem portion has a discharge passageway which is normally closed by the valve gasket. Either an undersurface of the annular flange or a mating surface of the valve housing is provided with a compressible sealing member while the other is provided with an annular edge. The compressible sealing member and the annular edge form a seal therebetween, when the valve stem is sufficiently depressed, to partition the interior cavity into a metering chamber and a separate filling chamber whereby product may only be dispensed solely from the metering chamber when a product flow path is established.

A method for preventing a restenosis within a vessel wall requires a medicament be delivered at predetermined locations into the vessel wall and allowed to subsequently disperse in a predetermined pattern. This invention relates to a reproducible system for the production of stable, genetically transformed maize cells, and to methods of selecting cells that have been transformed. One method of selection disclosed employs the Streptomyces bar gene introduced by microprojectile bombardment into embryogenic maize cells which were grown in suspension cultures, followed by exposure to the herbicide bialaphos. The methods of achieving stable transformation disclosed herein include tissue culture methods and media, methods for the bombardment of recipient cells with the desired transforming DNA, and methods of growing fertile plants from the transformed cells. This invention also relates to the transformed cells and seeds and to the fertile plants grown from the transformed cells and to their pollen.
