The invention discloses a shear thickening effect-based milling chatter suppression and
deformation control method for a thin-wall part. The method comprises the following steps that: a shear thickening liquid is prepared; a thin-wall part to be machined is fixed to a
workbench of a
machine tool through a clamp; the side, opposite to a
machining face, of the thin-wall part to be machined, is filled with the shear thickening liquid, and the shear thickening liquid makes contact with the opposite face of the
machining face; and a
numerical control milling center is started to
machine the thin-walled part through a hard
alloy cutter, a milling mode is a smooth milling mode, after
machining is completed, the part is taken out and cleaned, and the whole
machining process is completed. According to the method, the unique rheological
mechanical property of the shear thickening fluid is applied to milling of the thin-wall part, under the
impact action of milling dynamic load, the thickening effect of the shear thickening fluid greatly improves the rigidity of the thin-wall part, the damping in the milling process is increased, and milling chatter suppression and
machining deformation control of the thin-walled part can be realized at the same time.
