The invention relates to a multifunctional pole-climbing robot which comprises a basal body, a left arm and a right arm which are installed on the basal body and a driving device. The multifunctional pole-climbing robot is characterized in that the basal body comprises an upper main body, a lower main body, a main screw rod and two guide rods, wherein the main screw rod with a lug boss arranged at the upper end vertically penetrates the upper basal body from the upper end surface of the upper basal body, and the lower end is connected with the lower basal body through thread; the driving device comprises a main motor installed on the upper basal body, a pinion gear installed on the output axle of the main motor, a main gear installed on the main screw rod through keys and meshed with the pinion gear, and a motor and a worm gear mechanism which are respectively installed on the upper basal body and the lower basal body, wherein the worm is fixedly connected with the output axle of the motor; the structure of the left arm is identical with that of the right arm, and both the left arm and the right arm comprise hollow legs with wear layers, lower nuts, screw rods, upper nuts, upper end covers, bull gears, driving gears, driving motors, upper pawl levers and lower pawl levers. The multifunctional pole-climbing robot has the advantages that the robot can climb on poles with any section shapes, can span barriers on poles when climbing, and can span and climb a plurality of parallelly vertical poles, and the working performance is excellent.
